zombaio
Hi DE, In your entire game there was one sound that i actually liked. One. Not 10 not 15. One. That was the sound of the Sobek shotgun, which became half of the reason i bought the thing. As of update 9.3 you managed to successfully screw it up. Now there is nothing unique about it. It sound just like every other shotgun in this game.Tinny, empty, with annoying echo. So thanks for the lovely change. P.S. This is an entirely subjective, individual position, based on pesonal experinence with the weapon. Edited July 26, 2013 by zombaio
Blackchaosvortex
I had that with other weapons like Boar and Gorgon... but yeah, time heals all wounds i guess... i got used to it somehow and just enjoyed the game.
BinaryJavelin
I honestly couldn't tell the difference. It sounds exactly the same as it did before to me.
zombaio
The difference is quite noticeable and in my humble opinion not for good. I guess things will go the way Blackchaosvortex said.
NovusNiveus
I haven't noticed any change in the sobek. My problem is that the Lato Vandal doesn't go BOOM anymore. It now has the awful anemic clicking sound that the normal Lato makes.
tsubasakuroi
Latron Prime went back to its original sound (I disliked it) or at the very least a very close sounding one. Yet Twin Vipers don't get that sort of treatment. I'm bummed.
zombaio
Well nevermind our personalgrivences for weapons that we used to like how they sond, but there are two main conclusions that can be drawn out of that: 1. S#&$tiest part of the game are the awful sonds. They are apparently less likable than anything else. 2. Almost every single change (whith small exceptions) fells like step back, like a downgrade, This game is starting to sound more and more like a Beta (an early one), the closer it gets to relise. Virt
Gorgon sounds like popcorn in a microwave now. I want the old loud, noisy, industrial banging of bullets.
taiiat
Yet Twin Vipers don't get that sort of treatment. I'm bummed. :< i love my Vipers for the type of weapon they are, and at one point i distinctly remember the audio with max ROF sounding like a GAU-8. i stashed all my other secondaries and went back to using Vipers because that was the exact sound i wanted. i want them to sound like a Vulcan Cannon <3 then it changed again, and i stopped using them. they sound stupid now. This game is starting to sound more and more like a Beta (an early one), the closer it gets to relise. Digtal Extremes on many occasions has stated that all changes are preliminary designs, they're not internally testing for months before releasing one update, they're handing us the new gadget, except it's held together with duct tape and we're told not to shake it too hard because it isn't finished yet. complaining about this is pointless. the only possible change, Digital Extremes could make their own decisions amongst themselves and release one update per 4 or 5 months, and then what? it would be considered a finished feature, and be checked off as done. and then you'd want to change it? good luck. ordinance
I haven't noticed any change in the sobek. My problem is that the Lato Vandal doesn't go BOOM anymore. It now has the awful anemic clicking sound that the normal Lato makes. I actually second this, the lato vandal is still my favourite pistol and now firing it sounds like i'm actually making popcorn as compared to the old one. I'm quite sad to have the old one gone.
