In Regards To The Ability Energy Colour Diminishment

Why the hell should we pay for something that we already had previously?

That's not what I'm suggesting. I'm saying that a way to prevent DE from out-moding certain colours with each new tweak to energy colours, would be to give the players complete control of them. Not stupid little collections of preset colors.

With a full picker, you could just adjust the transparency of the colour to your tastes, and if DE changes it's intensity increase or decrease the transparency to fit.

Yeah, please either revert this entirely, or leave it up to us to determine just how vibrant these colors are.

Otherwise, I'd quite frankly like my cash back for the saturated pack - it's hardly living up to the name, right now.  :|

Appreciate the feedback. It's definitely been tricky finding a happy medium with these custom colors, it's all about keeping them vibrant without burning those retinas (a lot of players are sensitive to this). If you find specific powers are lacking with the recent change, feel free to post them here.

Can we have the option to have the default colours ?

Yeah, that's been said here before plenty of times. It was even in my original post. But you suggested it cost Platinum for that feature, which it shouldn't.

*shrugs* DE need to make money somehow. I honestly refuse to buy more color packs at their current price. But if they gave me full control of the colours, perhaps I'd be willing to part with $2 or so.

Mag seems to have been one of the biggest victims of the color change. Most of the colors seem to have very little effect on coloring her powers, pull for example always comes off has a translucent green with a touch of the chosen color. However this isn't consistent for example classic-saturated pink adds much more color than classic-saturated blue. With the pink I can clearly see the pink at inside the greenish color of pull, but with blue all it does is add a slight blue outline to mag on use. Bullet attractor always seems to be this dull orange sphere around the target, crush is just this stream of tiny colored particles. In fact with some colors it barely looks like Mag is doing anything at all. Shield polarize seems to have fared the best, with a good number of colors still resulting in a nice flash (though not nearly as good as say Nova).

I understand that some people have issues with the bright colors, but to be fair they always had a solution at the ready. That is to say they could have simply lowered their gamma settings to reduce the intensity of image, where as increasing gamma doesn't really increase color saturation or really the brightness of the powers as they are now.

Perhaps its a bit superficial of me but I have completely stopped playing my Mag for the most part. Every time there's an update I jump into a match to see if they gave her some color back. When I see they haven't I play one of my other frames who have fared better in the color-pocaplypse.

Ha, refusing to play Mag because of her colours and not abilities; there's a first.

Not to say I think she's useless, but most people do. My only complaint is that she's butt@(*()$ ugly. Worst designed frame in the game. She lacks no interesting parts, only a stupid perfectly smooth jumpsuit with swirly arms and a ridiculously oversized fishbowl helmet.

Anyways, yes Mag does have issues with energy colour customization. I do get why her abilities are almost invisible (magnetism is an invisible force as is), but just like choosing to make Saryn's poison abilities really look like poison, that option should be left to the player-- if they want to make it seem like it's invisible, make it almost black so the energy only has a tiny bit of non-coloured effect. Personally I'd love it if I could make Saryn's abilities 100% red so she could be the BloodFrame-- hemorrhaging her victims on the spot. But it's still got to be that damn yellow/green all the time, so I can't.
