New Dojo Rooms -[Concepts]-

New Dojo Room Concepts, the 1st of which is would make dojos and the pvp element a little more fluid in my opinion and just makes sense in general.

Arsenal Room The basic idea behind this room is to be able to change warframes, weapons, and mods. This enables players to stay within the dojo without having to leave and rejoin everytime they want to use a different load out in the dojo, or change mods for the parkour room. It also allows groups that might be discussing needing to get certain materials or do certain runs while within the dojo optimize before hand. This leads to my next suggestion.

Another use for this room is a in Dojo Market. a console or select area where Tenno can go to purchase new items which also leads to another room Idea.

Star Map Room The idea in my head for this seems to make more sense to me than the default star map currently in place. This room would have a miniature holographic star map and 4 kneeling "chairs" around it. when a player sits at a "chair" the map grows to the current defualt star map we see when the game starts. Personally to me this feels more lore friendly and can be implemented easily.

How this would change things

1. New Members or members not in a clan load into a defualt dojo on signing in. The DEVs can decide how large the defualt halls will be and they cannot be expanded upon. Currently the lore for warframe feels like an add on, or something extra, and not the main thing that drives it. After playing the Tutorial/Intro where the player is rescued they are put into the defualt star map that is in the middle of space. It feels really detached and not lore friendly at all. With a centralized area for people to start at in a clan hall it allows new players to ask questions to people they see rather than to try and get a word in on Region Chat where there questions will most like be answered in fury of tumultuos rable that's not helpful in the sligtest.

2. This also explains WHERE the player goes after they lose conciousness rather than to just be in space kneeling. This Default or Lotus Hall will have an Arsenal Room, where they could choose their first frame, the Star Map room where an explanation of whats going on can be given and different mission types, and my next idea which is a Practice Room or Mastery Room.

3. New players are abble to craft a clan key after joining a clan, this would work something like, New character is in default clan hall, is asked to join a new clan, builds a clan key, Accepts invitation to X's clan, Uses key to transfer to X's Clan Dojo and then is prompted saying that access to the Lotus Hall will be restricted. Essentially Barring him from using the Lotus Hall while he is in a Clan. If that player decides to quit he loses his clan key and is loaded back into the Lotus Hall.

4. Lotus hall has only the essentials, NO RESEARCH, NO DOJOS, NO PARKOUR ROOM, and Lmitied to only a few halls. I would like the lotus hall to be slightly different in style to the regular dojos but in either case it works. but the Lotus Hall will need Star Map, Arsenal Room, Foundry Room, Main Hall, Mastery Room, and Barracks.

Edit: 5. When sitting at the Star Map the choices for Online, Clan, Private, Invite, Or Solo determin the function still. this way when sitting at the Star Map it is not limited to only those inside the clan dojo but other "Randoms" that are also searching the star maps in their own respective dojos.

Foundry Room Basically instead of just having a button that opens a hud players can go to this room in order to build new items using the materials they have gatered and the blueprints they find or buy.

Mastery Room Now the idea behind this is a tutorial room for new players to try the abilities of new frames on non hostile or hostile enemies. Similar to the Master challenges, this promotes replayability of old Mastery challenges as well as competition within the clan for leaderboards that would be available and on display within the room for the top 10 slots.

This will also be the place that Tenno come to take the Mastery tests in order ot advance to the next level.

Trophy Room/Hall a very minimalistic room that allows for more than 3 decorations. whats the point of having so many throphies if you cant display them all in single room. All the room needs is minimal walls no extras, Placeable Light Pedestals would be nice.

Antigravity Room This is more of a testing room or fun room really, BUT this allows the DEV team to work on the Zero Gravity aspect of the game withou implementing it into the core gameplay. It is a function test room more than anything. The best example I can think of to date for Zero Gravity has to be Dead space. You Point, Click and travel in a simpe linear fasion at a accelerated pace and land softly while camera maitains the OTS orientation.

And lastly

Warlords Chambers While the barracks are a great addition for the many players in a clan, but as a founder of a clan that has put a lot of time, effort, resources, AND money a room dedicated towars Dojo founders that has limited access seems fair.

Now my last Idea is Similat to Lotus Hall, except it is targeted towrds Design Council Members. This Hall/Dojo would have to be different from the regular Dojos and the Lotus hall, with a more orokin themed Dojo tile set. Agai it is just the basics A Hall, Arsenal, Foundry, and a Star Map. This Dojo/Hall would come with a separate key rather than a clan key, rather a Gold key Title Design Hall. Now this hall is basically a staging and testing area. Rather than simply show something to the community with a screen shot design council can come to the Design Hall to test new weapons frames or mods. This allows for testing of the items in question before being released to the general community. This could help avoid the backlashes that the community has expressed in previous events. Maybe not entirely but the design council has enough members to do testing on a large scale than just the normal in house testing. Its always better to see multiple perspectives on things rather than one side that naturally has a biased to favor one idea.

EDIT:

Ranked Chambers:
essentially the same idea as the warlords chambers only for certain ranks within the clan structure. Doors would remain locked to those of lower ranks.

Colloseum: A 4v4 arena that's larger than the dojo. there can be obstacles, non discriminant and random laser traps, and even an infested ancient or two.

Upgraded Reactor: This idea I had thought on for awhile. Vor was able to adapt the orokin technology to his pistol, so why not the tenno adapt technology from the void and integrate it into their own dojos. The room I envision as the  upgrade is from the orokin tile set, it has several tubes of energy that flow through it and 2 elevators. Ths room would cost more to build and take up a larger space, but would have the benefit of higher output of energy capacity. The requirements for this room would need materials from the void. people complain that materials dont drop in the void and this would give the void extended purpose and replayability. I'll try and get a picture of the room in question next time im in a void mission.

So thats all for now, let me know what you guys think, I would really like to hear from the DEVs on this as well and thier thoughts on some of the ideas I have presented.

The capacity to have more than 60 rooms in the dojo. Currently the room cap is 60, since we had no idea that there was even a room cap we now have no way of expanding. if we wanted to increase out tier we would have to demolish rooms. Not to mention all the unused doors in our Grand and Grandest Halls.

On that not this makes reactors useless as at a certain point, 5-6 would be all anyone would need as they wouldn't be able to use the energy to go beyond the 60 room limit and the maximum energy needed for that plan.

This was not the death star I was promised.

I'm sure this probably doesn't mean much coming from me, but i think that's absolutely brilliant.

All of it.

 

I especially like the part about the Mastery room.

 

I also think it would be kinda cool if you could try weapons out before you commit to buying the BluePrint/weapon or frame itself. that way you dont grind for a weapon you end up hating.

Agreed, I also think that for decorations the need to work on the size constraints for specific rooms. I.E. what sense does it make to have the Capacity of our Grandest Hall (15) be the exact same as a small hallway? Not saying they should increase the capacity to like 100 or anything but I think the size of the room should definatly impact the ammount you can put into it.
