SLI-fox
Do we still receive the 5 mods? Because from what I can tell right now, everyone on right now has given up killing the ships because they got their 250 points.
Vilemyre
No instead the corpus will tell us to go to bed without supper. Honestly I have no clue but all I can say is "I hope so".
pdxdubin
We actually lost the last event. DE gave us the remaining 20-30% from the event. Probably should not say that :p I agree with their reasoning, I mean letting an entire game lose an event would only bring negative results to their game. And it would waste all of their time in developing the event. Either way, This topic is Taboo : D
Ventias
yes but the planet resources will be cut in half. Also people are giving up at the moment is most likely maybe because its night time for some of them.

Duelshock
We're fairly close to finishing and its only been about a 1 1/2 days. And yes, DE definitely gave us the balloon event. We still needed like 25% with only about 18 hours left, and 12 of those hours were when NA was sleeping so there wasn't as many players. For the most part the bar went up 1% per hour for the first 2 days. Then Suddenly the last morning we were at 98%. 23% in 12 hours was almost double the normal rate of increase for all the other days. I'm pretty sure DE will just help us again if we get close. But If we get lazy and don't even get close to completing it, I feel like DE may carry through with their threat (but maybe for only a couple of days, as "several weeks" sounds pretty drastic). They really cant carry through with their threat. Its just another form of motivation. Its pretty neat though, to get the community to think were all competing against a fictional thread with a possibility of failure. It really draws people into the game, And even if some people know the truth to all of this, the events will still be rewarding to players. Since there is really no campaign or end game in warframe. This stuff keeps people interested.

Fireblac
I don't know about everyone else but I seem to bet getting a lot of XP for frames and weapons from these fomorian ships and each run doesn't last very long either too. Many others have noticed this too that I have partied with and say they are mainly doing it for the xp and to help out the event status. All in all I think we have a better incentive this time around. I can't say the mod rewards seems useful at all but it gives me something to do, I seem to get better drop rates and more xp at that. ------ Sorry that was all kinda completely off topic though yes If you lose it seems we will be shafted in a sense so there is some nice pressure on us all and if they don't put any pressure on us then most of us will be lazy and do the minimum requirement as usual. Granted if more information was given about the rewarda as well as better rewards with higher stakes I bet the motivation would be much higher. BlazenFury
I dare you 'DE won't punish us lawl' people to not touch the Eris ship at all. Then go and try out Xini. It's literally the only way to be sure. Me personally, i want this event finished(thanks for the habit, ME3!), and not risk punishment, resource or otherwise. But y'know, if you want to make a point, be my guest.

This stuff keeps people interested. Well I thought that too for the last event, since the consequence for the community not completing the bar was MUCH more severe than this one. In the balloon event, DE threatened that if the community bar didn't get to 100%, nobody would get ANYTHING. That means the people who farmed 3000 balloons would have wasted over 30 hours of their weekend for nothing. Now that threat sounded wayyyy too harsh and unfair to be carried out, so I knew that DE would either extend the event or rig the bar, because S#&$ would have gone down if all that hard work was for nothing. For this event though, if we fail we still get all the rewards we worked for, and the top clans would still get their statue. The threat this time has nothing to do with the event rewards, but instead of an indirect consequence by cutting drop rates for resources. Now this actually sounds like a reasonable threat that would be a good motivator for the next event for the community to work harder. So I can actually see DE doing that, unlike the last event. Yeah but I don't know if DE thought this through as far as I think they did. But failure is a bad mind set to force through your community. If you are developing a game and you want it to be successful, Then the theme of success needs to be pursed through every possible window. Meaning if failure comes out of this event, then the overall morality of the community will drop. Basically if we fail this event people will be unhappy, and naturally people will stop playing the game to some degree, or become less active. However if we win the event with this false possibility of failure, then the morality will be boosted causing people to become more interested in the game, and spending more time and money on their content. I'm probably just over thinking this, who knows
SLI-fox
Maybe they'll let us fail, and put up a 'counter-offensive' event to return our resource drops to us?
Soulie
I have a feeling that if resource drops on certain planets really do get cut in half for a couple weeks, people will just stop playing for a couple weeks. Pretty sure DE doesn't want that to happen.

It's pretty normal to have double rate for the last day because when the event all going to lose, those that won't want the event to fail will be more motivated come in and help. Please give more credits to the players.
