What im gonna say are some suggestions i'd thought of rhino.1.Block/Deflect damage suggestion Complements tinfoil IS After casting the ability, Rhino has a 5/10/15/20% to fully block damage with a 4/8/12/16% chance to deflect any blocked damage (deflecting does not work on bosses, elemental damage, leach drones, grineer bombard, anything melee including infested but works on corpus lasers) (as you can see here deflecting damage has a REALLY small chance) this will make IS last a little bit longer in high levels. 2. Armor strengthening suggestion Complements "bling"/spike IS IS is now affected by 10/20/30/40% armor and damage cap is heightened by [armor * 0.25/0.5/0.75/1] This would make Steel Fiber essential to Rhino as opposed to only affecting health and would scale on higher levels 3. Skill affecting suggestion Complements "bling"/spike IS (possibly would be combined with sug. 1 and 2) The spikes on Is now affects your other skills (might vary because of OPness): Charge - added damage by 100/200/300/400 Roar - weapons now do 25/50/75/100 flat AP damage OR 8/16/32/40% AP damage Stomp - everyone in stasis now take 10/20/30/40% more damage OR have less armor ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Edit bonus: 4. AoE explosion suggestion Complements "bling"/spike IS (if it would apply in sug. 1/2) After the IS ends, Rhino's spikes will burst which will will do 50/100/150/200 dam and stunning for 0.5/1/1.5/2 sec. (if it would apply in sug. 3) After using 1/2/3/3 skill(s), same effects as above ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Please note that this post/suggestion will be based on the idea given, not the stats and/or figures provided. I would respect with agrees/disagrees and would accept opinions and comments from people but if you would be so ignorant and be a d*ck please dont even bother. Maybe tweak the numbers a bit, but with a skin of iron (and even more so when they are SPIKES), you would think a body charge should hurt a bit more. Plus, a bit more skill synergy is really needed in this game. I see why people dont like the spike skin but comon its just AESTHETICS man and anyway it does look like the nanosuit shield... Making it work with certain mods (like armor) would make it be able to scale better to higher levels. been to high level missions , im rank 8 seen the hardest this game has to offer and iron skin is if anything OP. but then i dodge rather than stand still i use cover rather than expect 50 energy to give me total immunity for all time. T3 void runs might have to replace it a wopping twice. my average damage taken on rhino is zero. and lets not forget this 50 energy ability doesnt just provide a massive damage shield. it gives immunity to scorpions , shield bashes, melee stumbles, toxic gas clouds and all the other stumbles knockdowns and disables in the game and many rational people myself included would pay the 50 for that alone without a shield. now as you auto discarded my opinion calling me a noob im going to have suggest your problem is a needing to learn to play. I may have exaggerated a bit, but in my experience, it goes away pretty quickly some times, and then last half an hour other times (varying greatly on mission type) and especially if I am alone, which I am 95% of the time in this game, T3 void missions on nearly maxed out mods can be quite tricky. now as you auto discarded my opinion calling me a noob im going to have suggest your problem is a needing to learn to play. Arunasoul Posted July 28, 2013 Share Posted July 28, 2013 Here's the forum I was looking for! Iron Skin change suggestion (unlimited duration assumed to have been kept for the changes suggested). Make it scale off of enemy health, and number of enemies in the area. The base idea is this, enemy_health*%=Iron_Skin_Health. Also, generate threat on enemies nearby, such as within that 15 meter radius, which would cause the Rhino to regain it's value as a REAL tank, and not just a pretend tank who really just fits in as a brawler right now. He was built and given 'lore' as a tank, but can't preform, women are disappointed (Trinity especially, cause healers marry tanks for raids), so this should give him his game back. So, random numbers to make it easier to understand, when you hit T3 and see enemies surviving 1000 damage hits, you begin to realize they have nice little health values. So, if the radius was about 15 meters, and there was 3 guys in there, 2 lights and 1 heavy, you'd probably see about 1100 for the lights and 3300 for the heavy. (FAKE NUMBERS! NO FLAME PLZ). If your % at max rank on Iron skin was 60%, you'd see 1100*0.60+1100*0.60+3300*0.60=3300 health for Iron Skin. Add some threat in, and Rhino becomes a tank again as it causes Rhino players to go where the group is and tank it like a man. The % of enemy health may require some work to find the best application of it, but it would make it MUCH more effective then the current version at higher level content, and would also prevent Rhino God Mode from making low level areas FAR BEYOND too easy. I mean really, until level 20 it takes like ten of them two minutes of straight firing to take out the Iron Skin, then at level 50, one guy can shatter it in less then ten seconds. It needs a scale, not a flat number, so that it doesn't have such a huge variation in usefulness from low level content to high level content. The reason I'm suggesting the above isn't because Iron Skin is totally worthless right now, it's because I don't like the direction they went with flat health for the Iron Skin. It's not wrong, it's just that it sees the inevitable failure to preform comparably from low level to high level content. Play style begins to change and Rhino cowers behind Trinity when crap starts getting real in T3 or high level raids because the HEALER can tank it better than the TANK. Then comes the Frost comparison... and Frost wins there every time cause group hug bubble is awesome. His entire role changed to Excalibur MK 2 when they reduced Iron Skin to a flat cap, and that just doesn't feel right. Where's the game's second tank? Hiding behind the game's first healer and only healer. He became a Brawler instead of a tank, and that role is quite suited to someone with his kit, but as a person with lore stating their a 'tank brother' with Frost, he really can't compete/compare to a Frost due to group hug bubble.
