Well, thanks a lot to everyone who complained. You got your wish. The room that used to force wall running has had almost all of the wall running removed...Seriously? You guys couldn't just suck it up and learn something?

(Steam pictures still aren't being allowed on here for some reason...)

Awwww, I just saw that room once and I liked it how it was. The only thing bad about it was that I also saw my teammate get stuck on the down side of one of the platforms, so it was buggy.

However, I think it should have been fixed instead of changed like that. If it was because people complained of it being hard, well, I don't like the new one.

Note: On the picture I see a charger. I was there only once and all enemies were dead, so I can't tell but maybe it got changed because enemies could not keep pursuing you.

Hmmmm I hadn't thought of that. Could be a possible reason why. Infested are pretty handicapped on the newer tiles. Though Grineer never seemed to have an issue following me, what with them all being able to super jump....

The main problem is that lag effects wall running so you end up in a situation where some folks go through easy while others have to try a couple of times and the people that go through dont wait. So the easiest method to solve that is to take it out.

The one a really have a problem with was the Corpus tile with the two elevators on each side. Before you would wall run from one elevator to the other and they took that away now. They made it so the platforms are closer to each other which lets you jump from the elevator platform to the middle easily.

Nope, Infested as well as Grineer were able to jump across. They were like Excal with Super Jump (but all the time).

I guess, the main reason was, that the Hostage didn't get past that room. Hostage's AI is completely stupid, they can neither jump nor wall-run. So you had to leave them and a teammate (to kill everything that wants to kill the hostage) back in that room and head for the exit without them. Perhaps one day, when the Hostage's AI has been reworked and got more intelligence and skills added, we might see this room being restored to its former beauty.

Actually, the hostage will teleport to you if you are a certain distance away from that room, if I recall. It did it numerous times for me.

On topic: Yeah, really bummed about this change. On the bright side: We still have the other parkour rooms.

This is a shame, i just started warframe like week-2weeks ago and that room took me forever to get around. Thing is im so much better for it now i can wall run into a wall run upwards ect.

This room taught me how and is the only reason the mastery 6-7? test (wall running ones) isnt putting me off. Massive shame this is gone and honestly if you wont force people to learn how to complete a task with the tools they have then there isnt much point in diffrence skills. It isnt like you can change warframes to get away from it as its core to all fo them.

You guys couldn't just suck it up and learn something?

How about you suck it up and learn that you're not at the centre of the world and other people might not enjoy being stuck and having to quit entire missions because advanced gameplay tactics suddenly became compulsory?

And if it makes you feel better, I personally don't have problems with the room. I'm a "capable player" like you. It's just that I have compassion.

Look at the comment above yours and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. The room helped people learn how to do it.

It was a bit of a maze I'll admit that much, but couldn't they had just simplified it a little instead of putting a catwalk on all but like 1 corner of the room? Or at least restrict it to later missions. Kinda felt great showing newer players how to traverse that room.

Hopefully they'll bring back a slightly simpler version of this room after they start implimenting tutorials and such.

Parkour is buggy and unresponsive and generally crap. Once it's fixed, then mandatory wallrunning will be fine. As it stands, trying to do the same run sequence eight times because your 'frame won't stick to the wall/keeps rolling forward off of a platform every time you land/runs out of stamina isn't fun.

I have nothing against mandatory wallrunning in principle, but it needs to not feel awful first. I know I've said it before, but: The devs really need to play the PS2 Prince of Persia games to learn how to do parkour right.

Trying to "learn Parkour" while being shot at by 2-3 Napalms is not fun.

I once ran a Galleon mission, and 2 newbie teammates (this was on Earth, on a time I forgot to change it to Solo) and two teammates had trouble trying to figure it out. Well, because of how ridiculous mob spawns are these days, we wound up with 3 Napalms in the rooms surrounding it, and of course they eventually wandered in while they were trying to figure out how to do the room.

Parkour should be an option, not required especially with how buggy it is. I don't know how many times I tried to wall run and despite me doing things like using the melee key, my character would still push off the wall 10 feet into the abyss and I'd have to try again.....and again.... until I finally caught that stupid ledge, meanwhile mobs keep respawning and respawning and respawning.

tl:dr; GOOD FREAKING RIDDANCE. I HATED this room with a passion, because of how buggy parkour is. Yes I like Parkour, but I don't like being forced to do several Parkour Elements back-to-back-to-back when they so often fail because of glitchy hit detection and other bugs.

it was a step in the right direction, but the way points could get pretty confusing for several play through until it was starting to make sense.

This was my main problem with the room.

1). I couldn't tell which exit it wanted.

2). I kept falling because of sloppy parkour system (character pushing themselves off of the walls even when I hit the melee key that SUPPOSEDLY makes you go "straight down").

3). Poor design on that room (ridiculously small ledge with no wall behind it to stop you once you push away from that wall).

4). The ridiculous respawning mobs where you have to kill 10+ grineer every couple tries at trying to get through the room to the correct exit and then finding 1-2 Napalms in the narrow hallways near this room because it took you too long to get through it.

This room was just not fun and total crap.
