EclipsedHusky
So...Uhm well if we lost then we'd lose materials....But to destroy these ships we have been using INFECTED devices to well ruin the ship not exactly blow it up. Does this mean we've been infecting all of these grineer? Every one of those ships now infested freaks bent on nothing but consuming flesh... Seems the Lotus' plans may yet have a doubled edge to this entire mission.

Vilemyre
Wasn't it going to implode? Thus sucking the ships into a blackhole? Wait but wouldn't numerous black holes near planets have a catastrophic effect?
Meenmu
Yeah, if it implodes, one would imagine nothing would be left. Edit: implosions don't necessarily mean black holes. Besides, however big these ships are, their mass still doesn't compare to that of stars, whose implosions are usually what causes black holes. fishworshipper
People, just because something implodes doesn't mean it creates a black hole. The SUN, a relatively colossal ball of plasma, doesn't have the matter necessary to create a black hole. The Fomorian ships certainly can't make black holes. But giant infested entities floating around can't be good.

notlamprey
A black hole can come in a small size. Which would make it relatively harmless, at least according to current consensus. It's theorized that because black holes emit radiation when consuming matter, they can only consume a finite amount of matter before being destroyed. It's also generally believed that the destruction of a black hole isn't, in and of itself, a very dangerous event. If you're talking about a supermassive black hole like the type that holds a galaxy together, then it could be a problem. A galaxy full of stars doing a gravitational harlem shake would be cause for concern.
Hollowatcher
Highly doubt this scenario, The Lotus seem to have a sense of maintaining some sort of balance in the system by keeping the Corpus and Grineer empires at odds. Using the Tenno to tip the balances and keep both in check. The infested are the greatest threat, you can't reason, negotiate or bargain with them. You can't establish trade or treaties. The new golem will demonstrate this when we get his towering form. He's lived for millennia consuming other beings.Imagine the infested much like the Tyranids in the Warhammer universe. They are the last species you ever want to run rampant. Edited July 29, 2013 by Hollowatcher
Brasten
When I plugged in the first container of I thought... well, this clean up is going to suck later. Jamming goo-ed technocyte into ships system kinda seems like a bad idea over all. Doing it to a ship you're trying to blow up seems even worse when it starts spewing technocyte infested chunks every which way as it explodes. Oh well, at least when we go back to clear the wreaks Infested are far easier to just kind mow through. At least they generally don't have annoying super accurate guns.
