Well the main reason is to limit communication and thus limit the chances of manipulation and scamming. Not knowing who are you dealing with will force you to go for legit prices as you cant tell if the buyer/seller is a newbie or a veteran trader. Also the ignore option is still there if you feel like you dont want to talk to someone anymore thought it only works throught this trade system to avoid breaking anonimity.
