Kaotyke
What I mean by this is: When I put a group of enemies to sleep and kill one. Sometimes one of them will become alerted while under the effects of the Sleep Arrow. I tried it a few times: Hitting the terrain around the sleeping target MAY alert them, killing an enemy in front of the sleeping target MAY alert them, killing an enemy near the sleeping target MAY alert them. Why I call it "Inconsistent"? Because there are time it happens, other times it doesnt, as I pointed out above.
[DE]Grzegorz
Current stealth is an amalgamation of years worth of kneejerk nerfs and mechanics that actively punish the player while they've made no mistake. Certain enemies spawn already alerted or in a state that will reset your counter, for no reason other than it was easier to implement than getting the spawn system to work properly and stop pushing enemies into a spawnpoint that's being actively shot at. If that wasn't bad enough, it isn't uncommon for the game to spawn enemies right behind you, not even permanently invisible Ivara putting everyone to sleep can work around that because the moment they see their comrades die, they get alerted and here goes your stealth multiplier. Stealth simply doesn't work in this game, I've had enemies get alerted while I was performing finisher on them. Oh, also I get absolutely pissed while I see the "get 10 stealth kills challenge" progress while the same enemy I killed results in my combo resetting, FFS. ScribbleClash
Equinox' sleep does not cause this problem. This means sleep isn't inherently broken, but there have been choices that made it the way it is today. IIRC this was a deliberate choice.
