Opening options menu for the first time in a session causes consistent freezes

Ever since one of the hotfixes before Plains of Eidolon dropped, opening the options menu has been causing a freeze of about 10 seconds. It completely stops everything in the game, including squad host to client connections. I am guaranteed a host migration if I forget and try to open the options in a mission whether I am host or client. This only seems to happen the first time I open the options in a session. It's getting very irritating to not be able to change options in a mission without having to open the options somewhere else first to get the freezing out of the way.
