InFlames
This is ridiculous. Just ridiculous. Various posts are getting moved into off-topic section without apparent reasons and posts keep getting deleted without further notice and no warnings when there is nothing wrong with them. Players getting warning for silly things as it has happened to me. For example a warning for posting a picture, and I got a warning for spam. https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/8165-forum-postingguidelines/ https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/5898-warframe-faq/ I've read those and there is not stated that none of those posts should be removed/deleted. And even that they were there should be at least a PM with an explanation for the user to be warned and to know what has been done wrong. When i asked for explanations i was simply left in the dark, and as a player and a consumer i want my explanations on how and where is explained that posting a single picture is spamming. Edit: If this post gets deleted as well I'll start sending PM's to DE's staff until someone explains it to me. Azure_Kytia
If you got a warning for posting a picture, was that the entire post's contents? Could be that it falls into the "does not contribute to discussion" category.
TotallyNotCorpseshock
Second that. One threat where some clanmates uploaded a video showing them playing warframe while doing childish fiddle-faddle got locked because the admin wasnt sure how he feels about this and he couldnt see why this video belongs in the Offtopic section. My main account got a 3 day ban because i uploaded anime-ish charles manson pictures in an anime kawaii thread. I think i deserved that even if some of the reactions where very funny. But seriously, if you paint a big target on your &#! and wiggle with it, do you seriously expect noone to shoot ? Some people need to grow some humor if they want their extraordinary behaviour to be accepted. Also, i got a warning because in a "Lotus alternative voices" thread i made some (not even very rude) jokes about a PMS Lotus even if Rebecca Ford herself made similiar jokes in a livestream. The admin said i was behaving sexistic. Well, i wouldve been if i meant one single word serious but im a modern man and thought of it more like a inside joke. So the assumption, i was behaving sexistic, was just the view from the admin. tl:dr: @'s need to make differences between jokes and insults. If it isnt a insulting joke, of course. I must agree that some community mods aren't that good. Some are taking their jobs too seriously and wants to make the forums a cold place without humour. Though I havent had any problems with the mods so far, I would be a little upset if I get in trouble for making a joke. If this is common issue, they should make a new rule about it. It would be much easier to comprehend this topic, if we knew what he did wrong according to the moderators. Perhaps they had a perfectly understandable reason for doing what they did. Neruell
There will never be any clearance about rules and guidelines, because everyone can interpret anything differently. As for getting some kind of feedback why something was deleted or moved, I think that % of the "serious" topics which get deleted or moved compared to trolls topics is just way too small to even bother posting to everyone why this or that was done. Yeah kinda, but there is still a difference between "Offensive" and "Offensive humour". A joke will always be a joke. Of course, you can't just say f**k you, to someone and then mean it teasingly. It can be very hard to see when someone is joking and when they aren't. It's a dangerous move. I know that personally, since I love offensive humour, it has gotten me into trouble in the past with people that didnt realize it was all for fun. So I know it's something you should be careful about. Edited July 29, 2013 by Zareek

They range from reinforcing the beliefs in the teller to priming people in very similar manners to disparaging remarks made in non-humor situations. Simply put, the excuse that it's humorous, should not matter.

I know a lot of people that find it hilarious, but as I said before, Ive also gone into trouble because of it. I will say though, that Ive seen "offensive humour" that I did not agree on, that I found highly inappropriate. It being funny is irrelevant to the negative effects I described. Both (being funny and having negative consequences) and neither can happen, but the psychological studies strongly suggest that the negative consequences do happen. W4RM4CHIN3
The problem is the mods. They over think their tittle, they feel like they can do whatever they want if they don't agree with it. Also lay off the warnings...sheesh you guys get your panties in a bunch over everything.
direcyphre
They seem pretty tolerant to me. I mean, if people were getting warnings for posting repeat topics (like pvp, as a good example), that would be pretty lenient for having not read the rules which are clearly pinned at the top of the forum section. For being a large public forum, they seem to keep things pretty clean and a lot of leeway is given. Maybe I'm just not seeing it because I'm not posting questionable content or offensive jokes? :P
