Occasionally, the mining tool won't notify you of any nearby ores until you go in to your operator form then back out. I'm not sure if this only effects the focused tool or all of them

While not visible in the video, it is possible to be staring right at an ore deposit but the tool just sits there minding it's own business.

Also occasionally, you'll have to reenter operator mode as the tool can "forget" to notify you of ores after a while. It's possible to think of it almost as an invisible "buff" you gain that allows you to find ore after going in to operator mode that expires after a little while.

I'm using Zenurik if that helps at all
