VinceBlood
I know that this is all up to RNG, but it really does appear to me that more sought-after Alert rewards show up in the late morning/early afternoons of US timezones. I'm curious as to why Helmets, Frame BPs and other 'rarer' items aren't weighted to show up at the Primetime hours for each region. (Yes, I'm upset I missed Vauban Chassis, but I'm trying to be civil here.)

VinceBlood
Sorry to hear that. Do you follow the Twitter/Gadget? I do, quite closely. Unfortunately, the Chassis showed up at 10AM PST-- during my work hours. This has happened more than once, and I've noticed that I continuously miss Helmet/BP alerts due to them only showing up during the 'usual' working hours for the US. metroidman12311
well I'm a little butthurt(tiniest bit you can be) that the dark dagger constantly shows up when I'm assleep. I feel like it messing with me showing up at 3 am and 5 am or when I'm not able to play warframe. wouldn't bother me if it wasn't the last alert only weapon I needed but I guess it's just bad luck for me. *off to the side* Vriska, could you lend me some luck here? Inferno_Hamster
I'm in the same boat. Want the Pangolin Sword and Dark Dagger. Pangolin Sword finally shows up after weeks of waiting...5AM in the morning when I'm sleeping. Dark Dagger... 3AM in the morning. It's how the RNG rolls I guess. Letter13
Cool story bro. World is out to get you. It's a conspiracy to deny all US players the alert items. Edited July 29, 2013 by Letter13
VinceBlood
Cool story bro. World is out to get you. It's a conspiracy to deny all US players the alert items. Yes, that's exactly what I'm getting at. I'm paranoid and I think that DE is secretly trying to drive me away from the game. Try harder, you useless troll. Try harder, you useless troll. Actually, it really does seem like you're saying that in your original post. Items aren't weighted to 'show up' at certain times. They're only weighted in the frequency at which they show up.

They're only weighted in the frequency at which they show up. What I meant by 'weighted' was that certain high-profile items aren't weighted to show up at certain times. They show up randomly, and as luck would have it, BPs and Helmets show up earlier in the day. I was asking if there was a way to actually weight them to show up during prime times. I work for an MMO company and we can monitor the amounts of players on during certain times of the day; I'm sure DE could do the same and weight Alert rewards to occur more often during these times. Prime time for you may not be prime time for the rest of the world. The US timezones aren't the only prime times in the world. Americans... always thinking they deserve things more than the rest of the world.

Will you back the hell off for five seconds and read what I've posted without thinking I'm some sort of spoiled child? Jesus Christ. I know prime times differ. I know they do. It's not a hard concept to grasp. But DE can see what prime times are for the regions they cater to and perhaps they can weight alert rewards to occur then. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to have a bunch of rare BPs show up at 4AM Central Time in NA, nor does it make sense for it to show up at 4AM UTC +1 in EU. Would this completely remove the chances of seeing them in the wee hours? No. It would just benefit players WORLDWIDE (read that word carefully) if they weren't during the standard working hours for each region.

And your comment on Americans is not needed and offensive.

Making certain items pop up multiple times a day removes the 'rare' aspect about them. Having alerts display for only certain regions at a time would be way too easy to exploit. One person with a day off could get 7 catalysts or 7 formas if/when those alerts pop up. It's very easy to spoof your region. Also keep in mind that 4 AM central US time is prime time for Hawaii, Japan and Australia. And 4 AM in the EU is prime time for the US. It's always prime time somewhere in the world. The alert system is fine as it is. DE has given you the opportunity to obtain items you'd only otherwise be able to get for platinum. They never said they'd be easy to obtain.
