Best Warframes for a new player?

Hello everyone first time posting here. I just started the game a few days ago and I'm curious as to what Warframes you guys would suggest to a newer player. Started with Excalibur and I'm not quite sure where to go from here. There's so many options out there.

I do have Twitch Prime so I got Frost Prime and he seems really good for CC but I tend to prefer the damage dealers at least for beginning content in a game.

Any and all feedback or other tips yall may have would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards, Justin

Jesus christ, why are you recommending frames like Rhino and Ember for a new player? Frames that doesn't require a player to think, just press one button and you are fine, it's "press 4 to win" mentality. Those frames are good and all but realy, those are not frames to learn how to play Warframe.

Back to the topic, you have Frost, it's realy, realy nice choice for a new player, he is versatile with "classic" skillset (1-spamming, 2-groups of enemies, 3-defence, 4-aoe). I don't know what you think when you say that Frost is realy good for CC but no, he is just good at it, nothing more. He is a defence/aoe-dmg frame. He is one of the last frames that can nuke entire room full of enemies with his 4 and Frost was like "must have" on defence missions because of his snowglobe (now we have Gara).

Excalibur is dps/CC frame. His ult is amazing with proper build and mods on melee. His 2 is one of the best CC abilities in game (cus finishers).

I don't know what to tell you, just go through starchart, do quests and you will find out which frames you like. After all, you need to play all of them if you want to level up your Mastery Rank and at one point you will want to get the shiny ones (prime variants) instead of normal versions, so it's not big deal in trying different frames and then selling them if you will not like them.

And remember: Warframe Wiki is your best friend. If you dont know something I recommend to check there first or ask other players in game. Warframe community is realy helpfull, there always will be somebody to answer your questions.

1 - Excalibur:

- Nice armor and Hp, with means survivability in low level.

- Very Op cc - 2 blind ALL enemys in great range without mods. Its Very good for killing and unlock terminal.

- His 4 hability is amazing, requires a Lot of mods, but have one of the High damage habilitys in warframe. In low level do a good job, put a intensify, streamline and some duration and you Will kill pretty much everything in low level.

2 - Rhino: easy to farm

- Dont need much mods for survive, vitality and armor are ALL you Will need in low levels because iron skin os amazing.

- His 3 do a Nice buff, you Will not have a good weapons right nos, soo, this help a Lot.

3 - Frost - easy to farm and you can Win His prime version with Twitch prime.

- Very good armor, Shield and Hp. With means you Will not site easily.

- Dont have much damage hability, but His Frost globe is amazing, High and low level, ALL defende mission requires a Frost. (Or gara now).

4 - Volt - easy to farm (ALL dojo clans have his parts).

- Yes, volt. He os squish, but His habilitys have a Nice damage and kill pretty much everyone above lvl20. Put a intensify and streamline mods and bem happy.

- His Shield and His ult are good panic Button habilitys and may save you, and your Speedo hability helps a lot for finished some Boring missions.

Pretty much It Bro. Have other must have frames like ember, Trinity, Loki. But in low level you'll not have all mods for this frames, and they Will not do good jobs without then.

I'd say Volt for a good balance of being fun to play (where Rhino falls short) being balanced (where Excalibur falls short) and having wide utility for both himself and in teams, all while being early to get (literally a starter frame if you pick him or join a clan and get him quickly anyways.

I picked Mag as my starter, and while I love her, Volt is probably the best choice here.

Banshee. Other than modding for efficiency, she doesn't require a lot of extremely rare or powerful mods to get a ton of mileage out of (unless you're gong for a quake build, but those are pretty niche in their usefulness and expensive to set up and run), her main defensive ability requires you to teach yourself how to make good use of the movement system, while her main offensive ability pairs with it in a way that requires you develop decent reflexes and decision making to get the most out of without getting yourself killed.

...what exactly would you learn from other frames even? Neather do those teach you builds, nor is it that hard to aim a cross, and at the end of the day, those frames offer a good kit fpr beginners and seasoned players that provides support, cc and defense..

My recommendations are ash, ember, nezha and oberon. Never was much of a rhino fan myself but nezha offers something similar with bigger focus on Cc.

Started with Excalibur

And do you like his 4th ability for dealing damage?

Then I think you should try to use one of this warframes:

Ash, Ember, Mag, Mesa, Nova, Saryn and Volt.

But all warframes are so different that it's really hard to advice which will be better for you.So it's better to read about warframes and watch their profiles here:

https://www.warframe.com/game/warframes

And as @Aliant_PL said Wiki will help you to better understand what to do with warframes.

Also you can google many guides about every single frame and whatch how different people use different warframes

Grinding wise

If you're going to grind for frames I don't really know

But if you wanna pay for them nidus is one I just started using and am learning from

And Ash is one I got early and helped me learn as well from stealth to aggressive play

Once you find a frame your comfortable playing with start looking at all the weapons

One thing I highly highly highly recommend is research

And allot

From YouTube to the wiki

Read

Watch

Listen

Even people here

There's allot of good people here

A couple not to decent but still

Other then that just try to learn out side the gameplay

For beginners:
In terms of easy to get great to use Rhino.
In terms of useful in almost any situation, Rhino.
Fun, Rhino.
It does depend on what you like, but then again Rhino.

Honestly Frost is fantastic, the best starter is easily Excalibur he's not super easy to get on your own if you don't start with him. Inaros will guaranteed perform, again if you can manage to do his quest. Ember is decent, people put her as amazing although she's actually not the most incredible thing. If you're paying plat, then definitely Inaros. He's one of few that will do well without any mods. Excal is also good for those with little mods. Volt is alright, Nezha is really good. Gara is really good.
If you are with friends or love supporting Trin is the way to go.
Other frames will take more energy management generally. Otherwise Saryn and Oberon would be alright for beginners as well.

Hes so much fun, effective and pretty good.  Good versatility, good enough damage, healing, group support, AoE, CC...yeah, hes a good NPE frame.

Ofc, he has a few little tricks you gotta do to get the most out of him, but overall, hes very fun, and effective.

I just built Oberon but haven't gotten around to trying him yet

Not really a support/healer kinda guy

The support is basicly the cream topic. He can be a debuffing aoe or a tanky dot dps frame depending on your build.

Cast his smite on eximus units or bosses for ridiculous aoe damage.

Excalibur.

His 1 will give your mobility while you are still new to parkour.

His 2 will teach you CC and give you breathing room which is good for new players.

His 3 is good for captura pictures so you can take lots of them if you want.

His 4 is good damage and lets you play as a melee frame with decent range so you don't get killed by "don't bring a sword to a gun fight".

So, mobility, CC and DPS all in one package for you to figure out which kind suits you more before you move on to something more specialised in 1 of the fields or stick to Excalibur to somewhat cover a bit of everything.

I would say damage dealers which are not that far out of reach for you would be Mirage, Mag, Nova and Oberon.

Mag and Oberon have a nice mix of active ability use and they have a very fluid and snappy playstyle.

Nova has simply one of the most satisfying abilitys with her ultimate and is a stable for every Warframe roster ^^ And she is really good of course.

Mirage is mostly a weapon buffer managing said buffs for you, with some degree of crowd control.

Actually I would partly disagree with this. Yes it is easy to fall into the "Iron skin on at all times" trap if you don't know any better but Rhino is one of the better frames to have to demonstrate that you should know your skills if you want the frame to perform well later on. If the player knows about the invincibility phase when activating Iron Skin it teaches them not to run with it on at all times and save it for those moments where you are getting a kicking so you can use the damage taken during invincibility to increase Iron Skin's health pool. From knowing that they should know to check the wiki for any other little tips for skills on other frames like how Frost can reinforce his bubbles and pop them with snowballs.

I have a friend who mained Frost for a couple of years and didn't know either of those things. When I told him and he went off to scour the wiki and to say he learned a lot would be an understatement.
