Arlayn
What better way to play Warframe then with MORE GRINDING!!! We have Wall running to increase speed, sliding to regain stamina, and as it is were flying through levels at high speeds wiping out enemies, but look at all these fences everywhere, in every level... What if as another way to gain speed(possible even regain stamina) between wall running we do grinding on bars using the feet of our suits that may or may not have to morph in order to fit the object they are grinding on. Like wall run to grinder, grind, then leap off the grinding object and do more wall running, or Grind then leap to wall then leap to grinding object and grind some more! Imagine how elaborate the void could be with something so advanced... Imagine harder levels requiring an insane amount of parkour later on down the line. (Would be pretty awesome with Dark Sector's Chroma, and stingers for infested leaping around and throwing spines at you while you did this) Imagine smooth, fast, traveling gameplay... imagine more ways to get around... imagine all those fences in every level being grindable, and in the end leap off the fence to wall run for 2x the amount of speed gained from just using wall running. Imagine having to use a grind, to run up a wall with more speed otherwise you would never be able to run up the wall with just basic wall running unless you had max rush, or Speed to help you out. Without those two speed aids you would be forced to use the means given which is grind to wall and gain a speed boost, then run up wall with the speed boost. Also the grinding could be optional. There could be paths with platforms you can run and jump to, and some wall running to skip it, but would take long then just grinding. Could even have some cool secret rooms, or passages to grind to. Even better... imagine if there was a Mobile defense mission (Grinding causes regain of stamina not loss of it like wall running) and you had to grind on rails going downward along side your defense target, and leap from rail to rail like as if your on a train track, for a train that required 10-8 rails... and had enemies that attacked the defense target also grinding alongside you while you defended the target. Could even be a thing to use abilities while grinding. Just to make it slightly more fair have check points where the pod comes to a rest so everyone can get their bearings, and maybe restock on supplies on whatever lockers, and barrels are around at that check point.(You would of course be able to leap from your rail to rail and maybe either hold shift to grind or hold shift till your feet lock on to the grinding rails then release shift so you can relax as you grind, and then when your ready to release just hit the jump button again hold shift and you will cling to the next set of rails you touch.) Then move the pod back on the rails again and grind from there. Till eventually you reach the extraction point. (Be cool if a drop ship came down and lifted the pod away from there.) And to make this more logical since a dropship could have just grabbed it while you were grinding have these grinding levels in either heavily fortified areas with anti-air fire so the dropship can't get close, or in a cave/building. Could even have the pod use the rails to reach a hangar where a Dropship flies in and picks up the Pod from the hangar, then you leave the hangar out a side hallway to where your dropships are.(the hangar would more then likely have to be the Corpus base, or Grineer mines.) Arlayn
tl dr. We don't need more grinding. We need more action packed boss fights and mission. We could always do grinding to attack bosses. I mean we already discussed wall running up bosses to attack certain points, why not grinding around, or on them?
Kinsaeda
Ok, how is grinding used here? I get that the op doesn't mean more tedious hours of getting things for loot, but I've never heard the word grinding be used as a form of movement.

Khaos_Zand3r
You clever, clever man. Almost thought you were trolling. Though I have to agree, it's long without needing to be. And yes, I am all for the good kind of grinding.
Kinsaeda
Thanks for the vid, so grinding is like taking a skateboard down a railing, only in Warframe's case, we'd be surfing. I think I got it and think it would be interesting to play as long as the control scheme kept it simple.
TheJagji
Agrees with OP. And Warframs should also have skate boards.

And yes, I am all for the good kind of grinding. Its a good way to grab attention... Thanks for the vid, so grinding is like taking a skateboard down a railing, only in Warframe's case, we'd be surfing. I think I got it and think it would be interesting to play as long as the control scheme kept it simple. No skateboards. As seen with many of the sonic games sonic just used his shoes which doesn't make sense to be honest... However a Warframe is an organic suit which currently still has no limitations yet... So I was thinking what if the bottom of the feet could change into something that could grip rail like platforms and grind on them. However to grind you have to hold shift while in mid air then touch them then you may release the shift button and you grind this is to allow the player to relax from hitting shift, or holding shift for a small period of time then hit space bar when you want to jump off or wait to slide off. Agrees with OP. And Warframs should also have skate boards. Skate boards seem extreme... However if DE made a Warframe who could pull a hover board from his/her back and glide through the air as they leap off a cliff, that be neat, or just have it so they move faster then volt and not buff his fellow tenno for a small period of time, but a warframe with a hoverboard ability is another topic for another day that I might just bring up at some point in time if I think of a good way for it to be implemented... I don't understand this... >.< too too much text BUT! We want more grinding... Basicly... Jump on rail like fences, bars in the air... maybe even some neat Void construction with railing... and grind... The idea is to get around places in a new way, or increase movement speed with wall running to do 2x speed. A good way to implement as I mentioned would be to grind to a wall and wall run "up"... As in the wall run up normally is impossible because you either need speed, or max rush on a loki (mainly speed) to get up it, but for those without you need to get to the top of a rail and grind down it to the wall and wall run it with the speed boost similar to wall running. Just a neat new way to get around... I also mentioned a new defense mission idea of multiple grinding rails as you slide the pod down you leap from rail to rail to get around and take down other enemies who are using the rails to destroy the pod that your trying to bring to an extraction point. We have wall running, abilities to get around, zipping on lines, and soon a hookshot... Why not alittle grinding?
Law_Abiding_Engineer
tl dr. We don't need more grinding. We need more action packed boss fights and mission. And this is why you are an idiot. I like the idea of grinding in terms of grinding a pole to get clsoer to another jump spot and thus make it on HUGE parkour-type map.
Relkin
Hmm can't we sorta grind some of these by sliding? With that said, Rhino grinding? lol That'd look so silly I want it :
