Am I The Only One Who Hesitates To Forma Anything Else Than Prime Items?

Well. The title says it pretty much all.

I am afraid to buy/use multiple forma and spend 40 hours on a warframe or a weapon to find out a Prime version of it arrives, with more benefits or with a so much cooler look.

Wouldn't be better if Prime would be an optional upgrade, just like the Orokin catalyst/reactor?   You still would have to find the parts and the BP.

Yes, Yes you are

3Formas in Sobek

3 in Ogris

etcetc

I think he means Tenno weapons since are the only ones that will get prime variants. Yes I am because I would hate to use a Forma and then in a week or two a Prime variant of that weapon would come out.

I have a nice little stack of about 15 forma. I've never forma'd anything but my flux rifle once. I don't see why people are forma'ing weapons more than once unless they have max serration, hornet strike, etc.

mostly to make a weapon op. i wish i had 15 formas o.o

Haha!  I like how you drew absolute conclusion based on one case :)

Well I do have max serration, hornet striket, etc. mods, and I do need to forma some weapons more than once.

Not hesitating to forma at all, much more hesitation regarding catalysts :I

95% of the potatoes I have installed I shamelessly bought with my founders platinum. That's really all I've ever used it for. Well, that and bling stuff like color packs and such.

Once fully polorized, even with only a half powered serrarion, the Braton is a BEAST! But it does require a ton of forma to get it there. Just to fit a half seration mod, and almost full rainbow mods and a split chamber, you need to have invested a couple forma's in there.

Also, keep in mind that the more times you polorize, it has diminishing returns. Sure it's great to cut the heavy hitters like serration and split chamber in half. But when trying to get everything maxed, it's hard to squeeze many mod points out of cutting elemental mods (and such) in two.

If you enjoy using your gear, where's the regret in placing a forma in it, even if a prime version -does- come out.

I wouldn't call it regret. I've enjoyed the hell out of my beefed up Braton. But after putting so many hours into it only to find out there is an almost identical version (play style wise) but with better starting stats just kinda takes the wind out of some folks sails.

It's about playstyle. I personally love the Braton because it fits my playstyle. So I invested a ton of time making it the best it could possibly be. Now there's another version of the same gun (same playstyle) that can be made even better. But you gotta start from square 1 all over again.

I'm not saying they should change anything. Or stop releasing these great weapons. I'm just saying folks being a little disheartened when their uber-gun is no longer uber is a little justified.

just with a potato my Braton is a beast no really NEED for forma

Forma are easy to get... I don't have all that many, but I'm presently sitting on a nice little stockpile of 3.

I have no use for them until I have maxed out mods, and I'm more missing potatoes than anything.

If you have a rank 30 weapon you are looking to forma to put more stuff on, just do it.  When the prime version drops at some later date, just move to the prime or don't.... a fully forma'd weapon with potato is stupid powerful, and a prime version doing +5 damage isn't going to be suddenly more godlike than your already godlike weapon.

I'd like a Paris prime because I'd like some mastery points (as I still don't have dread, I'm not up for forma'ing it anyway).

To fit most things on obviously. Hellfire, Stormbringer take up 11 slots. ArmPen and Cyro rounds take up 9, multishot takes up 15 then you have serration and what not or whatever other mod you want to put on. I maxed everything except for serration and that requires a couple forma on weapon to be able to equip all.
