Stalker is weak sauce.

*Said the guy with ungodly amount of formas, prime gear, event gear, corrupted gear, gear gear and rivens*

That's pretty much 3/4 of the community m8. I hope you're not implying that he's meant for low mr's.

I am implying that players don't consider scaling when they are talking about hurdles in the game. Sorties, Stalker, Zanuka, G3, Trials, Bounties are hard only as long as the person that tackles them lacks gear, which is a lot more than 1/4 of the community. Surprisingly few people have developed arsenal beyond mastery fodder.

What i would like to see is a new quest involving Stalker.

Imagine if; You are told by Lotus/Teshin/Ordis, that a wild fight is happening at Lua. When you investigate, you only find broken pieces of sentients, corpus machines, and grineer limbs. You are told that there are still signs a battle is going on. (Like we are measuring energy spikes or something)
Eventually we find Stalker standing by the old pool-chair-transerence thing from the second dream. He is desperatley trying to get Hunhow out of himself and you show up to make more trouble.
In the end of the quest we will stand with Stalker (Now free from Hunhow, without the armor, war, and most of his powers). He is holding his old Dread bow and tells you.
"Thank you... but we are still no friends"
Basically implying he will still hunt you out of sheer frustration for the whole Orokin extermination, but now as he used to. With Dread, Hate, and despair.
Though he knows killing your warframe is useless, it will still annoy you when leveling weapons, and thats all that matters.
Maybe he can use Parkour 2.0 to be more of a pest. (It would probably be hard to program, considering level designs and such)

Tell me what you think of these ideas?

Throw Shadow Stalker in the bin and just use regular Stalker. Regular Stalker is a HUNTER. Shadow Stalker is trying to be Pyramid Head without actually trapping us in Silent Hill's characteristic ten-foot-wide rooms first

Given that there are 50-60k a day logging into the PC version of warframe (not including PS4 and Xbox One), I'd argue this statement:

Is not correct (for the forums it probably is, but not the actual playerbase).  My own personal experience as a solo player that PUGs for Nitains etc tells me the same.  Whenever the Stalker or Lotus forbid, the G3 show up in a lower tiered mission, I'm pretty much 1V1 as the lower levels run and hide.  As they should.  Back in the day, having the G3 show up was literally one of the more terrifying moments I can recall in gaming.  Ranks right up there with the time I bought Destiny on release and realized I had bought a huge flaming piece of S#&$.

DE heard you guys the first time when they created the Shadow Stalker.  Stalker is working as intended.

I just soloed Shadow Stalker and Juggernaut at the same time in a pretty small room with a barely modded Oberon, barely modded MR fodder weapons, a constantly dying  teammate and a basic operator. Was fun, but did not expect to be that easily possible...

Its like growing up and realizing that your older brother is a loser. At low MRs he was this cool scary mysterious foe. Now he just shows up and dies.

I know. Just make the Stalker (or the Shadow Stalker) spawn at lvl 100 with "all the buffs" (augmented armor, slash proc dmg, etc).

You will cry and regret that you ever said what you just said.

Bullet sponge isn't what he needs. He needs to be terrifying, not painful

Personally, I'd say revert to original stalker, add parkour 2.0. As for story justification, I like the idea of him and hunhow having a bad breakup or whatever

...and making him a bullet sponge is exactly what he needs to be in order to become truly terrifying, because no matter how much parkour or powers DE gives him, some meta player is going to find a way to one-shot him and then come to the forums and complain about how "lame" the stalker is now.

An idea could be, to make the stalker stronger depending on the MR of all the squad members or a multiplier for his skills taking as base all the players MR.

OR.

He get the same stuff of the most powerful member in the squad.

Just an idea...

No. Just, no. Is Vay Hek terrifying? Sargas Ruk? Lephantis? No. They're boring. They're annoying, tedious, mind-numbing. They are not scary in the slightest.

People will find a way to one shot him, yes. With TB Chromas or other specialised builds, or maybe just a specially built gun. But people will not always bring that gun incase he shows up. Stalker was always at his most terrifying when you're bringing junk gear to level and a lvl7-ish warframe and he shows up. Top-tier gear? I'm laughing every time he shows up right until he hits the floor again. So, y'know, about 3 seconds because he can't dodge anymore

Bullet sponges capable of OHK are not terrifying. They're disgusting. If they change Stalker into that, I'll just be dying to him whenever he shows up. Not because I can't beat him, but because it's not worth the effort when I can just get him out of the way. And when a mechanic is generally responded to by avoidance at any cost, then it's broken at its core

Increase attack speed for all his weapons, give him back his ability to null Warframe abilities, make all his weapons 10% stronger and make him attack more frequently, the guys swing his sword once every 15 seconds.... LAME!!!!

I think all players should start running with sparring melee weapons (like Prisma Obex). That way when Stalker appears, you have 4 warframes just circling him as he makes his intro, and then just unleash a holy firestorm of fists as soon as Stalker attacks. Just turn it into an embarrassing Stalker face smashing.

I used to be afraid of Stalker and the Other Assassins when I was a New Player, but now they show up and I Equip my Prova and yell "Pinata Pinata". G3 are a Joke, Zanuka Hunter gets killed before I even get into the same room as it, and Stalker isn't very Threatening when you Shred his Armor off with your Teenage WMD and then Club him to death.

Original Stalker with Dread was Horrible for a person like me with a Squishy Frame.

Over a year ago, I had shared some ideas for Stalker, and again a month ago:

The fact that he comes after us for destroying Corpus machines, Lephantis and Phorid has never made sense to me. We've needed a new approach to the Stalker for a long time.

That way the Zanuka, Hyenas or something else for the Corpus hunts us for destroying their high profile work and leaders and the Grustrag, Nightwatch or some new Grineer unit hunts us for their Grineer leaders.

Infested maybe would have something with the new Plaguestar and have Infested Invasions be more important.

The Stalker would therefore stand as a wholly unique adversary, using his Acolytes to track us and even appear with one or more of them, depending on the relative power of the squad.

That way solo, we might see Stalker with up to an Acolyte or even two; with a fully kitted squad maybe all six can appear with good ole stalky?

Stalker would then really be stalking us, so that as we are active in-game, we build up points you can see a different possible result in a mission (so each of the below would be separate and only occur once per mission and is randomized):

  • Shadows and low whispers are spread throughout a mission, lighting levels are reduced.
  • Screen flickers occur and lock downs occur randomly, nothing more.
  • Screen flickers with Shadows and louder whispers happen, as we move from room to room no lockdowns.
  • Along long corridors a Shadow Specter is crouched and leaps towards us, but simply disappears.
  • The Screen flickers and he actually shows up try and kill us.
  • And so on.

The basic idea is have it that we can have different things build, lets call it, the Stalk-o-Meter, for now, and as it hits the mark to activate, one of the above can trigger to occur, and the player would never know which one, just that the Stalker is after you with a vengeance.

And as for how he appears for combat, the idea of a two or even three phase Stalker could be interesting to see, where we get Void mode, Stalker could then see Sentient mode? I like the possibilities there.
