Controller Disconnect

After closing the game for the first time after computer start-up, upon opening a second time and playing, the PS4 controller inputs (using USB cable) are completely dropped, and the controller becomes completely unresponsive (except for the trackpad acting as the mouse). Disconnecting and reconnecting the controller re-establishes the controls for no more than 2 seconds, before inputs are dropped again. Tried both using and not using DS4Windows, and the results are the same. It's not a problem with the cables or connection to the PC, because it works everywhere else besides on Warframe, before or after this bug occurs.

 

Update: This problem happened in the middle of a game. It has nothing to do with 2nd time the game is open.
