On Armour Scaling



I hear this often being brought up as a complaint regarding the game. But what exactly does it mean? As far as I know there are only two armoured enemies:


Grineer who are armoured everywhere except the head.


Corpus Crew who are, ironically, armoured only at the head.


Does armour scaling mean that regular non-armoured enemies (such as Infested Chargers) gain armour all over eventually?

There are some enemies that will gain no armor for increased levels; notably leapers and runners. They will gain more HP though.


Runners and Ospreys are only enemies in entire game, that have no armor and they get only health by the levels.


Leapers have 50 armor, Chargers 25 and Ancients 300.
