So Ive Heard The F2Ps That Need Platinum And Heard The P2Ps That Think Its Ok This Way

i think ive found ONE way to find a solution to this discussion, ive seen many games that have the free currency to premium currency transformation, though the limits they have make it pretty hard to get and that you need to be a very dedicated player to get X currency to Y currency, this also may even cause a bit of an adiction that overrides underestimation of premium currency in warframe, since everything is craftable, but that will certainly attract players to buy more and more platinum, that way theres a reduction but at the same time it will boost the need of people to buy platinum, my recommendations for doing this normal currency->platinum are the following

 

-1.you can only get a certain amount of platnium per times you o it (once a month woul be ideal)

-2 a limit rank to do it, that way you will ensure that only the players that really love warframe are allowed for this, and this might force weekend/sometimes players to get into the game more

-3.give premium plat chargers a significantly higher platinum limit to buy per month ( according to the amount they have spent)

 

id be happy to hear any modifications or things to add to this, but please only positive feed, if you got something negative to say please count to 10 and rethink it until you decide to just leave the post (you know what i mean with negative)

Or wait for them to actually implement the free slots on Mastery Rank rewards, whever that may be. Since that's pretty much the only platinum-purchaseable item 'needed', aside from potatoes and Forma.

Potatoes and forma's arent exactly "needed" since you can find them from alerts, and the Forma's from Void missions :)

Everything is Credit accessible except the Slots for Weapons and Warframes... and some colors. However Colors aren't that important, just a means of customizing the Warframe and Weapons a little more. Reason why the players who paid for the game are Okay with how it is right now is because the Platinum they got was enough to hold the slots they need for the weapons and Frames they Grinded for. Every weapon and Frame can be acquired in game with a couple of days of Grinding. There are even weapons you can't just buy with Platinum [Dark Sword, Dark Dagger, Crematic Dagger, etc. (Most of the Alert Weapons)]. If players are complaining about the Platinum, then they're either people who played a week and see the shops with the Platinum requirement for the immediate item without looking for the BPs and think this is a P2W game and quit... or people who need slots to have more weapons they like.

 

Btw, you can get Forma and Potatoes from Alerts... though they're rare. Best way to wait for them is usually after a Livestream in which they do a special 12h-24h Alert.

I agree that they're not 'needed', and we already do have other ways to acquire them. Not so for slots.

exactly, thus losing playerbase, and id say we need as much as we can for the upcoming events if fomorian-like ones ever come back, and we will probably be getting the same problem as in other games with cosmetic items, what problem? this: "lol ur a noobz cuz you dont haz these cool colorz and thi badge hahaha better quit stooped noob lol roflmao" maybe a good solution would be to be able to buy keys individually nad not in a pack, thus increasing the platinum addiction and balancing the weight more to DEs side, same would go with some mods and increase rarity of them

If Platinum becomes a item you could obtain in the wrong sense of way... it can be more of a Grind-fest than anything. If it was added to the Alerts, people would just ignore all other alerts and just sit in the Warframe Twitter waiting for it to pop up so they don't miss it and when it does come and go, players who weren't on will miss it and will just flood the forums complaining about it.

If it is added as a Event Reward in a certain Event, it might work depending on how it was initiated... just not make it the top 100 players get it.... maybe make it like the Formorian ship tier Reward and have it be a add on as the Top Tier 100 Plat reward. That would be fair to all players AND it would give players that have jobs and little time at least some chance of getting it if they don't ignore the event. With that, they can either get a few potatoes, forma, or maybe even slots that they would need. Even 1 color pack if they have a favorite one.

 

But that's just a suggestion.

and you can pretty much play the whole game without being "potatoed" with no problem (talking about T3 voids defence and etc)

i liked that event reward suggestion, thanks though instead of that you could get "contribution points" an at some limit you get platinum for making a huge effort in the event, and thus the grindfest would be limited to time so you got for example 500k credits for 50 plat, it can conly be converted once a month, do you get my point?
