Please Lose The Rhino Spikes...

I already posted in the Warframe feedback but thought I should post here too.

The new Iron skin looks great under the spikes but the weird Christmas lights are too much. Please at least give me an option to remove them and make the iron skin plating last for the entire ability!

Next update you'll see the spikes being shorter/rounder/wider/fewer in number, no more being bullied for resembling a porcupine.

Oh c'mon, the spikes are a really nice touch (as the way they are now) also drop the degrading chrome effect. Rhino looks more menacing with the effect on. Some players like Rhino a lot more because of the current iron skin.

I'd like to say "just make several versions and slap them in the market" instead of the constant twiddling with the skin, but i know that's not an option.

I like the current iron skin minus the degradation. It's an improvement from the last one.

I'm guessing you guys have opted for a 'riveted steel' approach then? Sounds reasonable... ;)

So rather than looking like a wrecking ball of doom, we'll look like a lumpy mess?

DE add an "ability appearance" thing to skins so some people can have tinfoil, some people can be the porcupine, and some people can have what horrid garbage you're adding.

Really though. Why and how was it decided that "iron skin" should be spiked? In any circumstance I can think of, it doesn't sound fitting. Personally I think it should have been used for a completely different power in a future update. Iron skin should retain that "I'm made of metal" look, just not tinfoil, and not metal as in the immature genre of music in which spikes are adorned.

Tonight was the last straw for me - the little lady walks by as I was running with Rhino and this is all I heard.....

"What the hell man, did the holidays come early this year? You look like a freakin' Christmas Tree!"

All I wanted for Rhino's Iron Skin was it to look like it use to, but have some of your frames colours running through the grooves of the pattern on it.

I actually *really* like the idea of being able to apply skins to it. It makes sense, and would suit everyone well. I particularly like the jagged crystals effect rhino has now. It makes them look tough, and explains away why it wears off the way it does.

A few other abilities could use skins too--like chaos. Pick one of several weapons you want your hologram to be using, and the pose.

Could be cool.

At least do it for the rhino--the art's already done, so why not?

It's funny that you mentioned that. In the frame customization tab is a "market" button, just taunting the player. As if frame skins might just be an option someday. In iron skins case, having several versions of it (as skins) would make everyone happy.

The chrome glow looked awful, the spikes look awful, and bumps sounds almost as bad as spikes. Add new sounds to make him heavier and have trailer-like Exalibur glow around his suit to indicate "overclocking" or some other future space-ninja nonsense while it's active. His suit is all ready the bulkiest of all the warframes. We don't need further growths coming out of him.
