Memory Leak Crashing Win7 Aero Theme

After more than a couple of hours running Warframe I will get alerts from the desktop that the system no longer has enough memory to run the Windows 7 Aero theme. This only happens when running Warframe and is resolved after shutting down or restarting Warframe.

Memory usage starts around 675,000K and grows to around 1,500,000K within about 2 hours. I have 8 gig memory total.

I only noticed this problem since the last patch, but as I only started playing shortly before that patch it may have been happening all along and I didn't notice or had stopped play sessions before the alerts occurred.

Cheers.

I can't seem to find that option, is that within Warframe or a system option I have to enable? And yes I am running 64-bit OS.

I certainly never came across it before so unless its checked by default then no it won't be checked.

It's this one :

It's usually checked by default. If it's already checked, then I afraid that it's something with your system.

I don't know the reason why Warframe in your system munched so many memory, but at least with 64-bit option active it would be fine because of 64-bit memory limit is larger than using 32-bit, therefore preventing low-memory related error.

Without running warframe (eg: once your system has booted, been active for 5+ mins):

- CTRL+SHIFT+ESC

- Performance tab

- Take a screenshot, put it here.

Would give alot more info on possible causes.

Usually this means that your system is running low on resources and is asking you to disable Aero so it can perform at optimum speed. I do not believe this to be a clear indicator that Warframe is causing some sort of memory leak. It is entirely possible that after 2 or more hours your system simply cannot handle all of those resources in such high demand. However if you would rather ignore these warnings then you can do the following:

- Open your Start Menu and type "Action Center" in the Search box

- Open the Action Center

- Click "Change Action Center settings" on the left sidebar

- Untick the following checkbox: "Windows Troubleshooting" (below "Maintenance Messages")

- Click "OK"

This will prevent your system from displaying these messages in the future.

Alternatively, you could also simply switch to the Basic desktop mode.

You might also want to check if you have that "Platform Update" from Microsoft relased aftet IE10 - it broke a lot of things, particularly the graphics subsystem - and they haven't bothered to fix it yet afaik. You might try switching to windows basic and test if you still have those issues.

While playing Warframe, and only Warframe, I will get the same popup window about the Aero theme and I highly doubt this is actually related to my system with mostly default settings.

OS: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

CPU: AMD FX 8350 (8-cores @4GHz)

RAM: 16GB @1600MHz

GPU; nVidia GTX 660 TI w/ 2GB memory

I just received the popup with about 4.9GB of system RAM is currently in use, 1.3GB of which is being used by Warframe. Only about 800MB of my video cards RAM is in use.

I will be paying closer attention, do some system tweaks, and maybe I can find a solution.
