Acrid Build

I Recently just go my acrid to rank 30, Now with this double XP weekend i wanna take advantage of it. However i have a nice build on my acrid already i just made a new forma, and would like to use it. with my mods on it right now would it be worth putting a forma on it. if so what are the perks of that extra mod i can throw on it?

Acrid build:

Hornet Strike-12

Barrel Diffusion-10

Ice Storm-8 (i feel content without this maxed)

No Return-7

Gunslinger-8

Stunning Speed-9

Trick Mag-5 (i often run whole missions with this, can be removed.)

 

I'm not very smart when it comes to mods. and yes i know i should max hornet strike but unless you could trade me 1000 fusion cores.. i don't see that happening.

I would take out ice storm and trick mag, they have the least impact in total dps for when you're taking down bosses with that thing. Personally I run mine with Hornet Strike, Barrel Diffusion, No Return, Gunslinger, Stunning Speed, Expel {whatever faction}, and either Convulsion (for Corpus) or Heated Charge (for infested). This gets you incredibly high dps against any boss except for the Hyena and Raptor, which I think are glitched anyway.

Oh and yeah, it's worth throwing atleast one forma on it. Mine has three and it's nice if you like maxing all of your mods. Otherwise, one is enough for the majority of the damage mods you need for it. In any case, it's up to you how you build your gun, if you want you can just keep remodding it and feel out your own favorite build.

no Return is not needed. take it off. ( the gun ignores armor) the +30% extra damage isn't worth the 7 mod points it uses up. you get more bang for your buck with other things like Fire or Shock damage.

Well, if you are lazy to switch mods out like me, I run any pistol with:

Gunslinger

Hornet Strike

Convulsion

Heated Charge

Deep Freeze

Barrel Diffusion

Ice Storm

Quickdraw

All maxed. This build is versatile, and it still deals incredible damage, albeit not as much as Cruispleuro's build, but still massive damage.

Yes, as V polarity mods generally take the most mod points after they have been maxed out (i.e. Hornet Strike and Barrel Diffusion).
