Parkour Test Mastery 8 Far Too Difficult

in the game ALL THE WAY TOO MASTERY 8 wich i took my time hell ive made nearly an entire dojo missing only 1 hall and the dueling room and very few missions have i not done, HELL im at now over 500+ hours all crammed in weeks i think a month and a half now?

 

NOT ONCE has the game required such a mechanic or even had a hey this is something!

 

just failed it, and can easily say since their is nothing to be gained from mastery past 7 and the exp does carry over I will not go up until this is changed

 

This test is flat out ridiculous

 

I use a official wired 360 controller, so to do this crap i have to

 

Left analog forward + right analog in direction of platform that I DO NOT know were will appear nor were the ball is + right analog for cross hair to find floating ball + right trigger to shoot said ball 

"all within under seconds"

 

rinse repeat for each platform

every other test ive been fine with hell the hacking test has even given me a challenge but this is nuts

 

oh and to boot you dont know were the next orb or platform will appear, and their is a clear diff between trying to wallrun and wall climb :/

 

that being said understand i am just an everage american my actions per second are NOWHERE near that of koreans

Stop using a controller and get a mouse and keyboard. Way more precise and overall a better experience in any FPS type game

+1 mouse and keyboard. A mouse is much faster and precise. I assume by the time this game launches on console there will be some kind of aim assist, but as it is, this game isn't very controller friendly.

I've used a keyboard and touchpad my entire life for this game, and it even works better than a controller as far as I know (and I recently passed the Mastery Rank 11 test).

I beat it using controller, so its not impossible. I did use Super Jump like 3-4 times though. Excalibur lets you basically circumvent everything. If you don't have Excal, you can always use Loki and Switch Teleport with a Decoy you placed as a save point. If your starting frame was Mag or Volt though.... well, good luck.

Have you tried parkouring with the mouse and keyboard?  It's awkward for the fingers.

The real issue is the sloppy controls Parkour gives you in this game.  It's not impossible, but it's not as easy or as smooth as it should be given how much they want you to use it.

not sure if this helps but i failed on my first try too, was using a loki with rush mod. i changed to a rhino (much slower speed so you have more time to react) with braton as primary (or a similar rapid fire weapon) to hit the targets. managed to finished it that way.

I managed to do it in a single try but sure this test made my heart drop lol (I forgot to change weapons so I had my Snipetron while doing it...) I still don't know what will happen if you miss or fall lol xD

1. You have to understand the game has to be viable outside of keyboard and mouse, as much as your a fanboy of a system made for TYPING and operating work programs, warframe is going to the ps4

 

2. Its too difficult if the average player has to use one of a select few of frames and cheat the test by not actualy wall running but using powers thats literaly the equivalence of going into a pistol test and killing everything with a rifle

The game doesn't fully support controllers yet. Aim assist is currently still very clunky and there are more issues with controllers not working on the hud, ui and stuff. Just have patience. We'll get there.

 Did you actually bother reading for comprehension? Most games that are released for PC and consoles have various gameplay tweaks to accommodate for major differences like controllers. Offering a simple, common sense solution to a control problem in a (currently)PC game is hardly being a "fanboy"

I have fail this test twice now and using a controller. The problem I have is that while you are wall running, the camera don't pan out a lot to see where you have to shoot the ball of light to make the vertical wall appear. Next time I might have to try using my index finger for the jump and my thumb to actually move the camera to see where the ball of light is.

If not I'll just have my co-worker beat this for me or wait until the parkour portion of the game is not so clunky for controllers to use. Long time to wait for the PS4 release.

Simple, don't use fast frames, use slow frames or slower frames with no rush for people who don't have access to Rhino, Frost, Saryn, etc. It makes the test easy mode.

 

Once you mention "American" and "Korean", you lost what little respect I had for you. So with that L2P noob.
lol to the OP thinking Koreans use gamepads or controllers on a PC game, baka.

I managed the test fine with a controller...though, I was using my Boar and my Bronco, to be fair, spray and pray shotgun pellets in the general direction of next target=success! :D The fact that the Boar isn't too tough to get a hold of(Or the Strun, if you have enough spare credits laying around) is handy, and besides, this game was originally made for PC, and is still in Beta ON PC. You can't expect it to have perfect full controller support yet, be glad they have controller support AT ALL. Seriously, you could be stuck trying to use Xpadder or another controller program, which is finicky at best, unplayable at worst.

Seriously? The game is being made for the Ps4. It may be on pc right now but it is meant to be a Ps4 game if it does not work well with a controller or game pad then it is something they need to work on. All though im sure its not that difficult with a controller but thats not the point here.

For 2 I disagree.

 

You are already Mastery 8 (just need that test), you would have an arsenal of Frames by then and the ability to use all of them well.

 

I am almost to rank 9, the only 2 frames I don't have is Nova and Frost Prime.

their was a limit, after roughly a minute my frame sat down and it said failed

This test is impossible to complete with my physical disability.  There has not been one map in any system where I need to wall run and shoot.  That combination is simply impossible as I have to use both hands just to wall run, one hand to move forward and the other to hold space.  Even if I deselect 'Hold Jump to Wallrun' the timing requirements are simply to fast for my disability. 

 

--Explanation-

To wall run I have my left index finger on the W key (WASD are movement keys), my right hand controls my mouse, sprint, crouch and jump.  Now as I cannot finger press any mouse buttons, I roll my hand between left and right mouse buttons in order to activate them.  The additional movement controls Sprint, Crouch and Jump are tied to Num_Enter, Num_Insert and Num_+ respectively each setup to toggle, except for Jump.  These additional movement keys are right hand thumb tap activated in order for me to be able to quickly move from num pad to mouse.  This combination has allowed me to successfully complete every map I have attempted in Warframe.

 

Please do not forget about me and other players with disabilities.

Too good I'm a PC FPS gamer and am using mouse/keyboard ALWAYS.
