Game Needs Punishment For Abandoning Squad Entirely.

Well, since you are here...
Something needs to be done about the people who leave their slow teamates behind and rush to end. I can't count how many times I have missed out on getting credits, especially on alert missions, just because I was playing a slower warframe like Rhino while the Lokis and Excaliburs speed run to the end. If I even try to stop to open lockers or brake canisters, I am completely left behind. This problem is not exclusive to Rhino and Frost. Even when I am playing somebody faster like Nyx, I am often left behind by people who speen run to the end of the mission.

While I'm whining, I want to complain about the players who immediately disconnect after killing a boss if they don't like what did or did not drop.

And yeah, I get that the whole zero credit thing for not reaching the end is to fight against AFKers. But I still think it is wrong to constantly miss out on credits just because you are playing a warframe like Vauban or Frost who can't just dodge past everything to get to the end. And I shouldn't have to.

As a suggestion for improvement, I say that there should be an additional bonus reward of some kind if all four players make it to the end, or some kind of positive reinforcement to encourage players to stick together.

I wonder if Lotus would keep talking to only those who are too far ahead of their teammates {say.. 100 metres closer to the objective}, warning them constantly like "Your teammates seem to be in trouble, tenno. I suggest you go back and help them" every 3 seconds :P it might encourage some just to shut her up. Oh what I wouldn't do to keep her silent during the Fomorian event...

That will definitely work on me.. >.<

On serious note, yea I rush, but if teammates ask me not to, then I come back.

I wish you rushers who come back were the majority.
I'm often ignored. What's worse is when the timer is started, and you go down, and so other guy who got left behind has to choose between reviving you or rushing to get the credits. A situation where credits are almost always the one chosen.

That's the reason why I only play with my friends. I see random people only once in a month maybe, so guys that rush forwards do not bother me that much. But it's still really annoying. We miss one in group, so if you want you can join.

Dear lord I hate when that happens. I play a loki and still have that problem all the time. Although i have found that mentioning I have the master thief mod equipped can usually slow people down. cant beat a 40% chance to unlock locked containers.

its not 40%.. there was a test done to check.. and they found that some lockers can be opened.. while some have a 100% chance of always being locked even if i have the master theif.. you should notice that its not even close to 40%.. i cant find the thread but its quite nice and shows exactly how it works.

I'm not sure when it got fixed, but it's definitely at 40% now.

Honestly, I agree but sometimes there is a good reason like they are told to stop playing and so on. But those annoying people that just leave because they feel like it annoy me, mostly on defense missions that you know are too hard to do alone. They should make at least a punshiment on credits. Like for instance, the more you quit missions the bigger the fee is to quit the next one and so on.

That sounds all fine and well on the surface. And if you could somehow 100% guarantee beyond a shadow of a doubt that all the people who up and bail just do it because of poor planing on their part or some other lazy reason resting on that players shoulders that they have complete control over I would lend you my support.

Granted, I usually personally don't get involved in a game unless I know I have time, but there is this thing called real life, and it's quite rude to us a community of gamers. Lets say last month when I was playing a different game there was an unexpected knock at the door. So do I:

1) ignore the door

2) go AFK

3) bail and pick it up another time?

The option you choose depends on your situation in real life. As much as I don't like it when people bail or go AFK given that fact that IRL may be intruding into this world I would be hesitant to punish these individuals too harshly. Try telling a baby to wait until after this mission to mess their diaper or asking fluffy not to pee in the carpet until you finish this defense tile.

Especially in a game like this when you can always go get in another group. I have yet to see or here of a tile set in this game that takes over 5 hours like in LOL. There you have a big problem if someone needs to bail, in Warframe your time lost is usually less than 15 to 30 minutes. Considering that fact that it is a game, the loss is not that great.

Also, contacts list. It's there for you.

IMO, every player left behind will take off 25 percent of the credits you would have earned that mission. They should also have a stat on your profile that that tracks how many people you have left behind.

Being that there is no specific system yet that allows players to match up with other ppl who enjoy playing the game a certain ways, you can't expect a bunch of random players that join you to give in to how you like to play the game. Normally I'll just go along with the majority. If more ppl want to rush then I'll rush, if they want to explore then I'll explore. But if I personally want to explore/ rush, I do that on my own time in Solo or Private with like-minded friends.
