If I had to compare Seer to Lex and Vasto, I would have to say that Seer is nearly useless compared to those two guns, mainly because of the travel time and the annoying zoom. Seer is also the only gun of those three that has critical chance of 0% and it has no starting polarities. I haven't seen anyone apart from me using it since it was added to the game. I began to think what could be done to Seer to encourage more people to use it after leveling it to level 30.

Firstly, remove the zoom, or at least make it optional. There should be an option to choose between ''scoped'' and non-scoped versions at the weapon customization screen. Handguns are supposed to be close-ranged weapons, as far as I know, and there isn't even a scope attached to the gun so the zoom makes absolutely no sense.

Secondly, make Seer a hitscan weapon, or at least make the projectiles faster. It is pretty hard to hit enemis far away, especially if they are infested because they move pretty fast compared to other enemies. The clips are small and the reload speed is slow, which makes missing a shot quite critical.

Otherwise I like the gun; Damage is nice and the reload speed isn't that bad with right mods.

Lanka and all bows have travel time does that make them worse at long range?? Seer doesnt need to be hitscan and should have at least that disatvange for its high dmg.

 

Lanka and the bows are able to crit thousands, it isn't that critical if one shot is missed. Those weapons have much more pros that make up for the one single con. Seer has much more cons compared to the pros it has.

I'm against making the Seer hitscan.  It's a really boring way to buff the weapon that takes away one of the traits that makes it unique.  If it needs a buff I'd prefer something that reflects on its hit effect, like armor reduction or something.

 

I agree that the the scope is a problem, but I think it should be togglable in-game with the use key.  If it's only togglable on the loadout screen, it'll never get used.

The scope + travel time make the weapon, both fall short of "good" for CQC and long range. To me the weapon is kind of a contradiction.

 

Also for anyone comparing this to the Lanka, remember the Lunka is meant to be a pure long range weapon, it has extremely high damage and high crit, so it makes up for the travel time, and on top of that the Seer, cant crit, and its hit-box for close targets is buggy.

Bows make complete sense and since they don't have a zoom, they're good for both long range and CQC, as for the Lanka, its a beast, massive damage and high crit more then make up for the travel time.

So true, I am using my seer as a medium range only weapon. It fails bad at longer ranges 30+ meters and is useless at 5 or less so I end up just using it for a no scoping medium range. I do not like the travel time of the bullets at all and it can only snipe something at a range of 30+ meters if they are hiding behind cover or not moving.

 

I like seer less than just about any other accurate weapon in game for sniping. The bullets are just too slow and it takes no more skill than a despair so I do not see any PROs to using Seer.
