Advanced-
If it was 2x Exp then I think this would of been a great weekend event :) The issues is you guys decided that Exp should stack instead of extend from the shop..... As much as that sounds "Awesome", the longevity of the game was just killed for me. I'm about to reach Mastery 10 (I was 9 before it started) and have effectively run out of weapons I want to level in ONE DAY. I don't see myself playing much of Warframe past Tuesday because I now have no motivation to do so.. I have 95% of all the mods I want I'll have 95% of all the weapons I wanted ranked to 30 All my favorite Frames/Guns have been forma'd already What's my motivation to play for the rest of the week now? ._. Maxing out 3 weapons in 3 runs is fun while your doing it, but not much fun after your done with everything. Just my opinion on it, 4x is way too fast and I hope it doesn't happen in future events. It sounded cool in theory, but it definitely kills a lot of longevity for the future.

Ameretat
To be fair, you complain, but not only did you play during the advertised double xp weekend, you also bought a booster for it, knowing full well what would happen? No one was forcing you...

Xinoxlx
You didn't wait to see how 2x exp was to see if you needed the booster, and this is DE's fault how?
DrRandom7
It was a brilliant marketing ploy by DE which benefited the consumers greatly for a small platinum cost. I see no problem in this win win scenario, if you have no reason to play for the rest of the week, don't.
LordMidnightX
so you bought an xp booster to level stuff faster and now complain that you leveled stuff faster... congratulations
WhiteCopain
The game isn't just about leveling stuff you know? Do you not have fun killing stuff anymore? What's the point? Nova hits 4 and everything in the entire room dies. Oooo flashy gets boring after a bit. The whole "Fun" argument gets lame after awhile. It's the same thing Planetside 2 fanboys said to me when I said the game would tank if nobody had any goals or real reason to play. Guess what, the game tanked hard when people realized that playing was pointless.
Omegarick
Not only did you buy the affinity booster, but even after the fast leveling up you didn't think 'Maybe I shouldn't level up all my weapons so I have stuff to do', then you came on here to complain? lol? Cinderain
The game isn't just about leveling stuff you know? Do you not have fun killing stuff anymore? Killing stuff for fun only goes so far. As what happens with any game, things wear off and your focus changes.

If you're just realizing now that there isn't much to do beyond leveling weapons then maybe it's time to play another game and/or bug DE to build more end-game content that isn't high level defense bullet sponges. Subdash
Ok i didn't buy an XP booster and i only have 2 weapons left to farm from the void before i have leveled everything in the game. I enjoy playing (as mentioned in other posts of mine) and i still love the game. But i am with Bboy500 on this. Its starting to feel like Vanilla WoW turning into Burning Crusade where loot is easier and leveling is easier. Soon we will be into Lich King & Cata and a lot of the players who stuck around and support the game earlier on are gonna just rage when they see a new player with the same gear as them with no knowledge of game play. Its almost a kick in the gut when you finally get to this point of the game and then they come out and reward everyone with something that will make them the same as you. Sure they need to grind level and possibly farm for new weapons etc, but if this is a way to get everyone leveled out prior to the full release of this game then i kind of think those who were mastery 8+ or maybe even just 10+ should have recieved something different as a reward that shows appreciation for sticking around. All in all, i love DE and they are still learning. But please don't rush into events without thinking about the full player base. It kind of sucks when you leave the dedicated players out. PS. Nerf Pink Shorts... Too Over Powered.
Advanced-
You guys are missing the point..... I'm a very "Efficient" person, if I have the opportunity to get 4x Exp then I will use it. Why would I play with 2x Exp when I could get more benefit from the event getting 4x Exp? Since this is a VERY limited time thing I will absolutely use it. Nobody from my clan buys the affinity boosters, yet almost everyone has got one for this weekend. It's absolutely normal to do so. Take full advantage of a limited time offer. It's not because we don't enjoy playing the game or leveling in it and just want to rush through it. We mainly did it to level all the weapons we DON'T like so we don't have to sit through them. The problem arose once we saw how FAST everything is. I had no idea it would take me all of 3 runs to level my gear to 30. The issue here is that this is even possible, it shouldn't be. Its completely unbalanced and anyone that is going to do it might just ruin the longevity of the game for them. The entire point of the post was a suggestion for DE not to do it again, because it is way too fast and can hurt the game in the future if they were planning on doing this again. inthephonebox
I posted the exact same thing in another topic. While I've not forma'd anything (because I don't have much and want to wait for primes/vandals) I have pretty much everything I want ranked to 30 now. Sure, they'll probably come out with some new weapons/frames eventually that I'll want to pick up, but for now I can just breeze through all but the tediousness of getting to high wave defense missions. I totally get that it was my fault buying the booster to begin with, but I had no idea just how much 4x more affinity was. But that point is even dimmed when you consider that it only halved the time. Its only Saturday and this goes on until Tuesday. Even without the booster posts like this would have popped up tomorrow or Monday anyway.
HomeyCDawg
If you didn't want 4x affinity then you wouldn't have bought the XP booster. OP's complaint sounds the same as going to a restaurant during half-off weekend, eating, ordering a second plate, and then complaining that they actually brought him that second plate. Point still stands though you didn't see how much a 2x boost would effect you and then decide if you really needed the extra 2x experience. The upside to this though is more people are now aware how little there is to do when you no longer have weapons to level. So after the weekend people may actually bug DE more about endgame stuff and/or a use for higher mastery, rather than focus on pointless stuff like scarves that don't fit the aesthetic of the game. Or the next melee weapon that's a chore to level and really just a reskin of the current weapons with slightly different stats. Who am I kidding? People are still gonna use "it's a beta" excuse whenever any criticism arises. The fact it's a beta is WHY DE needs criticism of the game. Not a reason to never say anything bad about a game. SaintHower
I guess I dont understand...the difference between one day of 4x exp and earning the same amount in normal exp mode is 3 days. So, you would have been in this situation of not knowing what to do in 3 more days even if they hadnt done this?
Subdash
rather than focus on pointless stuff like scarves that don't fit the aesthetic of the game. I was talking to some clan members about this last night. About how awesome it would be to buy clan / warframe scarves and skivvies (jumpers). Rocking warframe at your computer in Pink Shorts and a skivvie, what a boss you would be.

EetNotErn
Wow. You go out of your way to buy an affinity booster and play on this weekend and then complain how it's ruined the game for you because you leveled so fast. How about taking some personal responsibility here? You didn't have to buy the affinity booster. You didn't have to play this weekend. Heck, you could have still played the game this weekend without leveling at all by using already maxed out gear. But no, you went out of your way to be "efficient" then complain how this weekend shouldn't have happened. Guess what? You are not the center of the universe. Most players got a lot of use out of this weekend. These type of threads really tick me off.

Zamte
These kind of posters tick me off. Read the whole thread and make sure you read everyones posts not JUST the first post. Why? He hit the nail on the head. The OP took an action to speed up his or her progress through the game, and is now complaining that DE enabled his or her OCD. The OP also seems to think they are the center of the universe. Nevermind all of the people who work or go to school, who only get to play a few hours a day, and just had their account catapulted forward two months to a more fun point because of this weekend when they could get 4x, this person used the event to obsessively level all of the things. Get rid of it! Don't blame other people for your lack of self control. As soon as you realized it was "so fast", like say after leveling the first weapon in 3 runs, you could have stopped playing, or continued using the same, already leveled weapons. You did not seem to do this. This event helped a lot of other people who are not in your same situation. It was good for those people. Really good. It helped DE (I imagine) make a good burst of income from all of the people buying affinity boosters. Money they can use to make the game better. Why should all of them lose out because you can't stop yourself from burning through the game as fast as they will allow you?
