We Need A New Friend/imvite System

Honestly, the current friend/invite system is a unneeded hassle of a process for something as simple as inviting someone to a Void mission. I hate how if I want to join some guy's Void mission, I have to type out his name to send him a friend request when his name is "xXL337ERB33TERXx", wait for him to accept it, then wait for him to invite me, but it's too late because by the time all that is done, he found someone else. And if I want to invite someone via the Clan list, the whole thing freezes b/c we're such a big clan or there not in my clan in the first place.

 

Today was the last straw. I lost connection to a Void mission, but b/c the guy wasn't on my friends list, I couldn't send him a message to invite me back, and he wasn't on my recent players list b/c I didn't finish the game!

 

DE, I humbly request that you make it simpler to invite someone. My idea is to include an option to right-click the player's name next to what they typed in the chat so you can invite them or send them a message instantly, eliminating all the time spent typing out their name. Also, have the recent players list show players that you have been in the same game with, whether or not the game was finished. These simple changes would relieve so much stress with the unnecessary hassle to invite someone to a game.

 

Please DE...please. One can only handle so much "xXL337Xx" in a day...

+1. Also, leave us in a lobby after we finish a void mission, or at least let us invite right from "recent players". I hoard keys and then do them all at once when I find a good group, and by the time I'm done, I've had my team mate's l33t/foreign names imprinted into my mind forever.

+1 from me too. This current invite/join system is completely bugged. Many times now I've invited people to join my sessions and they can't join because: 

- We've already completed the objective (even when said objective has not yet been completed);

- the host is not in a lobby (when he/she clearly is);

- The lobby is full (yeah, with only one, note, ONE, person);

- Latency issues (which sometimes are completely baffling*).

 

DE, you guys really need to get rid of this current system, it just plain sucks. Peer to peer just doesn't work in MMOs. We don't even get the simple option to choose which squad we wish to join while in area selection lobby, no, we're just thrown into a random one where we lag bricks all the time.

 

 

*(here's a recent example, I was hosting a XIni session with a few clan mates, yet one of them couldn't join me for whatever accursed reason, and the others could. I'm located in Macau, China, and said clan mate was in Malasya. Explain to me how someone from the U.K can join me and someone from Malasya can't.)

+1 to this. You should be able to right click on a player's name in chat to invite them, view their profile, etc. Some players have some really weird names, which sometimes makes it difficult to invite them.

Well, I was about to make my own thread about this, but you and OP covered it.

 

We need the ability to right-click and invite players on any list (recent, clan, etc.)

 

We need to stay in the lobby after ending a void mission, just like regular missions. This is especially important because people like to farm for void keys together and then do runs as a group, effectively giving you more void runs.

 

We need for players to show up in the recent list even if we did not finish our game.
