The pair stuffs the chips inside their cloaks and the one providing the ride hefts the one holding the stick before hunching slightly down, ready to follow the supposed officer.

The official led the haggard group through the city, often stopping to make sure that nobody wandered off, accidentally or otherwise. She maintained a cheerful demeanor, and conversed with the nearest refugees., answering their various questions about the city. She expertly navigated the labyrinth-like sprawl of the city, and it only took the better part of an hour to get to the refugee district. The guards at the gate wordlessly ushered the group in, nodding the the official at the front as she passed.

They were well inside the district, the official spoke again.

"Alright, this part of the city has been set aside for you to live in, so find yourselves a vacant building and set yourself up in there. Meals be given in the center of the district twice a day. You aren't authorized to leave the district unless you have a job that necessitates travel into the main district. With that said, welcome to Perennial!"

Taking her leave, she began to walk off into the district, leaving the refugees standing in a group, unsure what to do. Gradually, they began to disperse, settling down in nearby buildings.

The two immediately moved to the nearest window, taking cover, to survey what was going on. They had their weapons at the ready, and remained silent. In this situation, they really couldn't be too careful. Making sure the person making all that sound wasn't a threat was an immediate priority.

A man in a heavy raincoat was running down the street, quickly rounding a corner and nearly slipping as he skidded over wet concrete. As quickly as he appeared, he was gone, leaving the two once alone once more.

Geordie nodded once and headed through. He breathed a small sigh of relief as the scanner stayed silent.

With his chip secure in his pocket, Geordie walked on, looking at the propaganda plastered everywhere. He took special interest in the warframe ones, eventually ducking down a side street to read the text on one without blocking as much foot traffic. One by one, he continued on, looking at posters as he walked.

The nearest poster read "REPORT ANY STRANGE LIGHTS!" and showed a man walking towards a glowing light as razorflies tore through his flesh. Another showed an Excalibur standing atop a pile of burned corpses, skana planted into the body on top. A third one read "Together, we can beat them!" displaying a team of watchmen heroically fighting a blood-soaked rhino. And so on, and so on.

Although the black market for the tenno was quite new, some of the posters looked quite old.

The cloaked carrier gently lets down her passenger from her back, the need to rush through crowds abated for the moment. With no obvious signs, the pair linked up and began trekking towards and into the nearest busy building, looking for a place to shack up, and to find possible job offers.

And most important of all, to start finding a long term way into the inner city and sniffing out leads for whispered...supporters.

"Don't worry sir," Cyrus said, "I've both fought with and against many a Tenno in my day. You won't regret hiring me." Cyrus took the envelope in his hands, and grabbed his bag by the strap in the other.

He had a few questions, but he learned over the years that the less he asked, the more willing people were to pay.

The guards escorted him back outside, where Ebony could be seen waiting. She seemed relieved to see him, and quickly hurried over to him.

"What now, sir?" she asked, seeming eager to leave the district.

Due to the fact that they were fairly close to the district's center, every building nearby was crowded. The fringes of the refugee district might not yet be populated, but the area around the duo teemed with life. Admittedly, most were indoors, waiting for the storm to lessen in intensity before braving the outdoors.

The navy blue official stopped for a moment, glancing back at the group, her eyes narrowed.

"Wait... no, it couldn't have been..."

She turned and continued walking, looking for where the next Hierarchy demonstration would take place. They tended to be near the center, which was why she had walked the group all the way here instead of dumping them off at the entrance.

"You hear that?" the hunched figure asks over the roar of the midday storm.

"Hear what?" the other figure asks, barely able to hear her compatriot's voice over the lashing wind and rain.

"I suppose you didn't~" the first figure quietly muses to themselves while a slight grin creeps up over her grey face. "Then again, most people wouldn't have heard it per say, especially with this racket going on." The sudden hesitation in their feet and scrutinizing eyelids by the female officer didn't go unnoticed to them.

"Did you find something aun-OW" the other figure gets interrupted by another light whack on their ankle by the hunched figure's walking stick.

"Big sister. Despite what your mothers may say I'm way too young and good looking to be called that by you."

"Aren't you like a thousand years too old be called a sis-OW!" the figure gets cut off by another whap on the ankle.

"I'm as young as I feel, and I don't look a day over seventeen~" (if you actually get this reference I will tip my proverbial hat off to you)

Changing the subject, "Well, since we're not gonna be able to squeeze inside here, lets soak in the scenery~" they say, raising themselves back into an upright position, spine making a few audible POPs. "Perhaps in the direction of the kind officer who braved this foul weather to lead us here." At the end of that, they raise their left free hand in anticipation.

The backpacking figure rolls their eyes again with a snarky "Yes, sis." under their cloak as they flip their rucksack back around to the normal position. Grabbing the figure's hand, the pair begin making their deliberate yet winding way after the officer, the one with the rusksack's eyes quickly covertly sweeping the area's alleys and armed figures.

The officer continued walking, seemingly unaware of the two who were quietly following her. She didn't take the main routes however, instead travelling through alleys and the like, trying to avoid unwanted attention. This seemed more of a natural inclination than any indication that she noticed she was being tailed.

The pair continue to tail the officer, keeping a casual body language and a respectable enough distance to hopefully mitigate suspicion; footsteps covered up by the rain and wind pounding down on the imbedded city.

The officer rounded a corner, exiting their line of sight. By the tome the two reached the same point, she had disappeared.

Then, a soft click came from behind them. The sound of the safety of a viper being switched off, practically inaudible due to the rain.

"Hands behind your head. No sudden movements, or I'll open fire." the officer said, aiming a pistol at the nearest of the two. How exactly she had managed to circle back and flank the two wasn't exactly clear.

"Now, who the hell are you, and why are you following me?" she said, glaring at them with piercing green eyes.

"Fine way to start introductions, isn't it?" the figure with the stick asks lightly, raising their hands and stick behind their hood.

"Why *are* we following her anyways?" the other person inquires, tone neutral despite having a gun pointed at the duo's heads; though their body language betrays the tension of muscles ready to spring into action even underneath the cloak.

"Because she was giving us the stink eye earlier, and it seems like she's as a good a place as any to ask about the...suit situation inside. Seems pretty nasty judging by the posters hanging everywhere." the other figure answers with a shrug, their stance completely relaxed and neutral. "I would've preferred it with a roof and hot drink though."

The officer fired a round at the cloaked figure, her finger just barely squeezing the trigger. The bullet - fortunately - only tore the hood of the cloak, but it was clear the officer wasn't in a conversational mood.

"Answer. The. Questions." she said, her voice flinty and unyielding. "Next shot will go through your head."

"I thought we just did." The figure replies nonchalantly. "But alright, I'll dumb it down some more."

"We're *mostly* two Tenno looking into the frame black market out in the middle of the city. Obtuse enough for you?"

"And *you*, now owe me for the hole you tore through my hood." the figure directs at the officer, ending with a tongue click.

"pleasedon'tantagonizethegalwiththegun.IwishwithauntMiaandAriawerehere..." the figure with the backpack mutters under their breath.

"Very well then. Up against the wall, you're under arrest." she said, ignoring the speaker.

Lacking any real lead as to where to start his search, Geordie followed the trail of posters, wandering vaguely in the direction of what seemed like the richer section of Perennial. Whoever's buying and selling these warframe parts can't be just scraping by, he thought to himself. He continued reading the posters as he passed them, seeming to spend more time looking over certain ones. Where are you, my sandy buddy?

The officer slapped a set of handcuffs on the both of them. A device built into them began to whir, and their void powers were nullified.

"You're actually going to turn them in?" the voice said in her earpiece, sounding surprised.

"Affirmative," the officer replied quietly, "Can't risk them causing trouble in the city. If their idea of infiltrating is telling the first overseer they find that they're tenno, they're bound to jeopardize our own mission sooner or later."

Turning back to the pair against the wall, the overseer sighed.

"Right. Start walking, back into the main street. Any sudden movements, and I shoot. Refuse to cooperate, and I shoot." she stated calmly

A poster of an orange and white frost fluttered through the street, ripped off its wall by the harsh wind.

Cyrus gave Ebony the chip. He took another moment to gaze at the stark difference between this part of Perennial compared to the slum-like aspects from earlier. If his boss got to this point selling Warframe parts, he was impressed. The fact that Tenno authorities hadn't caught him at this point was impressive. He looked at the guards. They were all well equipped and obviously trained, but an army of Tenno would likely still wipe this place off the face of the solar system with ease. He'd heard rumors of Warframes with the power to cause you to explode from the inside out, or blanket a massive area in fire. The Tenno he knew had certainly lived up to their reputations.

The Rhino's Operator lowered his weapon, and got to work checking on the supplies the two had brought. A week's rations, eight weapon magazines each, and a few thousand credits. They could always spend a few credits to get some food, but they should be okay for a week.

"Alright, let's try and figure out some kind of plan." The Rhino's operator said quietly. The other Operator responded with a silent nod. "First, we should make sure we're safe in this part of the city. Later, we could sneak through the sewers and do some surveillance on the main part of the city." Another nod in response. For now, they waited in their new base of operations, looking out windows, making sure there weren't many guards in the area. They wanted the area to be clear before they made a move. Who knows what equipment the guards have? For all they know, the guards could be able to scan for void energy. That would put a dent in the plan.
