Waidas
Since one of the latest updates some of the weapon sounds are odd... I hadn't used my latron prime and my twin vipers for a while (levelling new weapons and all), and now they sound as if they were from a previous version of the game. Twin vipers sound like chinese BB guns, instead of their usual awesome sound (pretty much the only reason i picked them instead of afuris), while the latron prime sounds like a silenced 9mm (as much as i would like a silenced pistol) instead of what I used to think was a drum base. I went to check on youtube and apparently the braton prime has what seems a worse quality sound too. I suspect that during the update somehow some older audio files got mixed up in my directory and now this is happening (do realise that I am talking out of my...). Just writing this post to know if anybody else has these problems, and if I have to reinstall and redownload the entire game in order to solve them (if that will even work). Kickboxing_Banana
Where's the down-vote button? When does people realize that DE has more important stuff to do than change the sounds of couple weapons?
Atazy
Where's the down-vote button? When does people realize that DE has more important stuff to do than change the sounds of couple weapons? Changing the weapons sounds is part of the 'Polishing the game' thats i not less important then getting other things to work properlly. What if all of the suden your weapon sounds like a water gun when its pretty op.It makes you feel ashemd of your gun.
InsomniacOvrLrd
It's not that i feel ashamed of my gun, it's that i question why i give money to these people. I like change, but the changes seem completely arbitrary.
Waidas
First of all I now realise that this is not a bug with my client and is instead and indended(?) change... Which in my opinion is worse. Here we go again... Thanks for your very useful imput, I hope your other 2161 posts are at least half as informative as this one... Where's the down-vote button? When does people realize that DE has more important stuff to do than change the sounds of couple weapons?Yeah, they should just fire their entire sound team and focus their budget and time on the "more important stuff". Even if your argument did make any sense... I'm not saying that the weapon sounds they make suck and they should make new ones, I'm just surprised that they either put in old weapon sounds back over the objectivelly better new sounds or somehow failed to make good new sounds and went with it anyway. If it ain't broken don't change it is what I'm saying, and not only they weren't broken but they were actually pretty darn good sounds. Which is the whole reason why I though this was a bug on my client, and didn't even think that the change could be intentional. It's not that i feel ashamed of my gun, it's that i question why i give money to these people. I like change, but the changes seem completely arbitrary.I will have to disagree with you there. In theory you give money to these people in order to make it possible for them to change the game, by either adding new content or improving the content that's there. Then you give them feedback to guide them in either the adding or the improving, as a matter of fact if you pay over a certain ammount you go in to a forum all based on feedback that's used to change the game. However I agree that this particular change was arbitrary, noone seemed to be disappointed with the sounds of the weapons they changed, as far as I can tell at least. If there is anybody that prefers the new (older) sounds over the old (newer) ones just let me know, so that I can at least realise if I'm just talking out of my behind. It's really hard not to take this topic as spam and stupidity, considering there are plenty others alike. You want my input, then have it. You can't tell what the guns sound like because they don't exist. For me, they're fine as they are.
