Trollin4ThePrimes
Hello, I just made my Acrid and am stuck in a self conflict. I can't decide if I want to keep using it, potato, and 5 forma it, basically go the whole 9 yards. I understand its a fantastic weapon, and that's where this conflict starts. It tears threw level 60s with just mutli-shot on, I see no point of using my Lanka. I like the idea of a powerful DoT weapon, the DoT being the balancing point. But it just feels a bit broken, not saying it should be nerfed but on a personal level I dislike that its this strong and become paranoid that they will nerf it to the ground. Maybe I have played too much LoL, but what are peoples opinions on the Acrid state in Warframe, and if they will change it to be just good. Althix
unless they are about to rebalance entire game to make it challenging. but i am sure they will not. i have a catalyst and 4 formas in my acrid. Dasmir
Too good i just stoped using mi acrid cuz i was draining all the fun of the game, instakilling everything in a single shot...
tigrex
Well you need mastery rank 7 a lot of stuff and dojo research so i would say that this weapon is perfectly right now how it is,realy strong but only for for a lot of work.

BlissfulAokii
End game weapons shouldn't be nerfed, you actually have to work for it. If you think it's too easy then don't bring it.
DrThunder
Acrid for individual targets, ogris for AOE. both require a lot of resources and high mastery, so they are not broken. I have forma'ed both of mine 5 times and if they nerf either I will be very unhappy because I spent a lot of forma on them. Lanka is still useful for the people who go slower and want to snipe. supra is pretty disappointing all round, I never could get it to aim properly resulting in wasted shots. I would still like to find a primary weapon that has good damage and high RoF but doesn't run out of ammo easily.

I pretty much avoid using Acrid cuz make EVERY other weapon redundant, same thing when im using Despair unless you primary is a Ogris, Torid or Bow/sniper. Numot
Its pretty much how a rank 7 clan weapon should feel. Plus the fact it destroys normals in a single shot most the time is a blessing to those who like to do stealth runs. The whole point of using the Lanka is to just obliterate fatties. Eirshy
Only potentially "too" good if you're not using Sonar (when compared to other bypassing weapons). Sonar multiplies only the initial hit, not the DoT. Makes Despair do 14.3x base (of the base 25 of the Acrid) while the Acrid only gets x9.5 (of the same base 25). However, it's still fine as it does have a delay on its damage. High DPS, sure, but you need to wait 4 seconds after your last shot at a target to apply all of your damage. It's a forced 4 seconds of DPS. As to comparing it to non-armor-bypassing weapons, that's more of an issue with armor scaling. If everything had Corpus-quality armor (under 302 even at level 100), we wouldn't swoon over the four damage properties that have that trait. i know but this thing literally laughts at Lanka and supra.. Supra yes, Lanka no. The Lanka is not a DPS weapon, as such you should expect it to have lower DPS compared to a weapon that is supposed to be for DPS. However, there's nearly nothing it cannot kill in one shot on Sonar. It is a sniper's dream rifle (for sniping only). The Acrid takes 4 seconds after your last shot fires to deal its full DPS. The Lanka already killed the target in the ~1 second it takes to charge a shot. Edited August 5, 2013 by TheBlueJelly

nOOz
Again this super mega bad &#! OP nuke weapon nerf thread. If u play Kappa, Cyath or even Pluto mission and all lvl 30-60 mobs goes down with one shot if u have worked all dmg mods to max. And u have dedicated your time to gain good end game weapons with 8 formas, ofc it will destroy everything till 60s. Again, Go play some high level defense where mobs are above 60s acrid wont one shot anymore lvl 85mobs and if u say yes it will plx show me video of that kill. You probl want to nerf Braton Prime at same point.. "To" hard to get, and when u get it and install all your mega badass mods you want to nerf it Edited August 5, 2013 by nOOz

If thats what community wants then DE pls make such weapon. Acrid dmg should be nerfed heavily. Only nerf i can think of for ogris is longer reload time. Only real reason that mr7 weapons costs are so high is because mr7 can afford them. Edited August 5, 2013 by Davoodoo

I'm not on the side that it is OP and nerf it to the ground, but I am paranoid that they will nerf it due to a lot of the community wanting balance with the side arms. Thus I don't want to waste time. Also even without mods it still does well on 60s not 1 banging them but give them another 2 or 3 and their gone. aTaVaX
whats the point of customization if once you get to 7, acrid is clearly the best choice? Once people reach mastery 7 you are penalized by having the viability of every sidearm other than the acrid removed. I hate the mechanics surround the acrid, its an extremely boring weapon to use, but i'm rank 8, nearly 9 and i'm stuck with the acrid because its clearly the best sidearm in the game. aucran
Acrid is my security weapon. I really only use it if the mission is more difficult than previously thought, or my team is lacking.
Eirshy
Acrid is not *always* better, it's only always better in terms of DPS lacking Sonar. Despair beats it in up-front damage and for DPS with Sonar. Twin Vipers are a lot easier to use vs Osprey.
Jugganatha
Acrid is my security weapon. I really only use it if the mission is more difficult than previously thought, or my team is lacking. Lanka still wins vs Acrid for Heavy/Boss slaying. Acrid shoots decently fast and can clean up trash effortlessly when I'm getting swarmed, so I'd say I use it the same way as you do.
