Consistent Graphical Crashing within 5 minutes of launch.

Hi, I recently reinstalled the game (new(ish) computer), and I have been having some issues. The game would consistently have a graphical crash within about five minutes of startup. The screen would freeze, but I would still be able to navigate the menus (sound cues give it away, I can't actually see them) and could alt+F4 to close the game. Alt tabbing and task manager did not work.

I tried all of the common methods (disabling options, downgrading graphics, etc.) but nothing seems to help. I tried optimizing and verifying the cache, and no files were found to be corrupted. I did a full reinstall just in case, but that seemed to make the problem worse. Now the crashes give vertical black and white bars, and crash the game outright (one time even forced a restart). My computer can handle other games just fine, so I am not sure what the issue is.

For reference, it is accelerated by going into the appearance and load out menus.

My system specs are as follows:

AMD Ryzen 7 1700x, AMD Radeon R9 280X, 16 GB 3200 MHz Samsung DDR4, Samsung 850 Evo SSD.

I also have the same GPU as you and seem to have the same issue like you, I've even had artifacts happening in Warframe, but not in another games. its really weird and sad, because as I progress I really want to plat WF more and more and quitting the game would pretty much suck :/

That's a real pain. Has anything you tried worked?

Try to:

-In the launcher click the cog icon in the upper right

-Select verify and let it finish

-Select Optimise and let it finish

-Start the game

Remember, it could take even an hour to finish
