HAR1MAU Posted August 5, 2013 Share Posted August 5, 2013 (edited) A target range would be awesome in the dojo, a place where you can test out Weapons on different factions and enemies that can be changed with a terminal.Features:-changing factions and enemy targets.-changing the levels of the targets.-Effectiveness at range that can be changed with a terminal.This not really needed but...-Customize health shield and armor values to make a custom(ish) enemy.-Weapon bench where you can change weapons and mods.-A try out range where you can test out weapons before you buy them.Example target range: I would love to see this, finally another place in the dojo besides the dueling room where you can use your weapons.and this would give youtubers the oppertunity to make videos with more consistent information. It would be also great to have the possibility of being able to change gear while in dojo both for a firing range or even for the duel room since its kind of a hasle to always log in and back, especially if its the host. I think that would be excellent, maybe even clan held mini tournaments with a Hall of Fame scoreboard or the ability to set up something like that. In general it would probably be best to come up with a part of the customization system that enables clans to make display tables and the likes, so that each can come up with their own little games and score keeping. Man, this game could so quickly become immensely immersive. A dojo weapon testing system would be awesome, too, based on weapons held by clan members. Maybe they'd have to be present in the same room to swap them out for a test shooting. Not sure, if that would throw a wrench into the sales system or would take away some of the motivation to hunt down building components and go through all the terror of finding blueprints, but it may also help the motivation instead. pitermurdock Posted August 15, 2013 Share Posted August 15, 2013 I think that if this ideas are all put into one and only post and someone pass it through the design council, we have high hopes for them to be accomplished in the long run... I feel that it would be impossible to see these awesome ideas at the end of the month for example... Hopefully I'm wrong, 'cause the only thing that it's making me play more during the week is to level my weapons for weekend operations. If a training range gets done, I could perfectly choose which weapon work more on. On the other hand, people wouldn't invest their time in obtaining some weapons and, in the long run, the lamest one will be discarded by no use. However, I would recommend against standard issue "realistic" pop-up targets or something. I'd roll this into user created maps, where Clan members can make levels with enemy types that others can test their weapons on, compete for fastest clear time, highest number of kills (for infinite spawn/defense style missions) and other such things. It wouldn't necessarily be able to run in the Dojo with no load time, but a load for a user map shouldn't be a biggie. It should also have a "watch room" in the level where other players can watch the player running the course, in addition to partying up to 4 people on a user map.
