(PSN)Minnty
im actually looking to stop playing on console, and make the switch over to PC. im curious as to people's opinions about whether im better off using Warframes first party client, or if i should run the game through steam. any feedback is greatly appreciated
MagPrime
Steam if you want TennoGen and Steam related achievements. Stand alone if you don't care about the above.

EndermanBeast
I use Steam, as you actually get more from it anyways, (Steam Achievements and TennoGen, which i don't get anyways)
DatDarkOne
Stand Alone Client for an overall smoother experience. Steam Client if you want to buy Tennogen or have Controller options in the menus. Also note that you do not need Steam to use Tennogen already purchased. Only need Steam to see what's availible and to purchase it.
Errodin
I find little difference between playing through steam and stand alone. Steam itself isnt any sort of "weight" as it runs flawlessly imo.
BloodKitten
steam and the standalone client are the exact same thing, only diffrance is tennogen, wich is available through steam (and limited seasonal items), however, unlike console, the tennogen would cost you in USD, or whatever your currency was converted to after steam locolized the currency for alot of regions lately. MagPrime
Oh, another thing about steam vs. Standalone is plat purchasing. Through steam you have to add money to your steam wallet and you can only do it in set amounts, then you can proceed to the plat site. With the stand alone, you don't have to do this. You simply go to the website, select the plat bundle you want and then pay for it.
