BlitzPrince
Rails A system many players liked, it proposed combat against clans, and brought more pride to clans who were able to maintain them. However, due to flaws in the system, and a strong balance issue, it failed out. I'm here to propose a new system, that can greatly improve the clan game, and offer a more competitive side of Warframe. So with a long thought process, and with balancing in mind to uphold the spirit of the game, I've decided to hash out a new idea. Node Domination Name being up for debate, "Node Domination" is the idea that all clans can fight over every node on the star map. Every time a node is captured by a clan, any time someone runs that mission, .1% of the resources gathered will go to the clan reward pool. At the end of the week, the reward pool will be divided by 2, and distributed to the members of the clan equally. Each clan can only hold 1 node on the map, and that node can be fought over by other clans to be stolen. If a node is stolen, the reward pool from which was saved up is instantly lost, and it must be held for another week to restack the pool and redeliver. This means that small clans can fight for smaller nodes, holding weak ones and putting time and resources in to keep the nodes where they are, while big clans can fight over nodes with high value rewards, like Hydron or Akkad. If a clan invest resources into a node, those resources are used to oppose other enemies trying to invade the node. With the big clans holding the bigger nodes, this also gives smaller clans a chance to fight between their own levels, as the big clans won't have any interest in small reward pools, allowing for a little bit of balance to occur in the fights. So how do you claim the nodes? You claim nodes via building a node base. This takes 24 hours, and while the node base is being built the node cannot be attacked. Once the node base is built, you must send troops there to increase the security of the node. You can create troops in the clan for an undecided amount of resources in packs of 5. Every time you send 5 troops to your node base, they stay there forever, until death. Troops vary on level, level 1 being the weakest, and level 5 being the strongest. Adding these soldiers to your nodes will fortify the node, allowing you to take heavier damage from other clans, and still holding onto the node itself. How do you steal nodes? You steal nodes in a similar fashion to claiming them. You send an army of troops, (level 1 to 5) over to the enemy node. The person with the strongest army will win the fight. Once you have won over the node, you will build a base on the node, and your node will be protected within 24 hours of base completion. In this time, it is wise to create more troops for your clan to use in protecting the node after it's invincibility period is over. After the invincibility period is finished, a countdown for the week is started. After one week, all the resources collected are dispersed, and a new week timer begins. Known flaws: The idea isn't finished, and is no where near balanced. This is just a concept so far, and is meant to be worked on. I don't know the exact statistics for how much each node is played, and I don't know what kind of specs need to be fixed in order to give a positive outcome on the clans. So before, the hate comes flowing in, I'm more just outlining what it would look like, not what it would actually equate to.
KirukaChan
A proxy war fought with resource stockpiles instead of the gun and the sword? This sounds like some pro-Corpus propaganda.
