Rapier Type Weapon

Imagine a melee weapon with Poke type animation along with the usual slashy slashy of swords. This my friends is the Rapier.

UPDATE: Prior to the idea, I have come up with inspiration for attack style in League Of Legends's Fiora. Some slashy slashy and some pokey pokey.

How would it not? I second the idea of a rapier... and a dagger to go with it. That is a gentleman's set right there!

I feel perhaps a rapier with a STABBING (much better than thrusting) attack style is nice, but requires a great deal of skill to wield. My thought is a more european/western sword style or style of weapon. As much as Gram and the Plasma sword look nice, they don't reminisce of claymores or greatswords. Similarly, a swift, one-handed longsword, cutlass, or scimitar weapon would be nice.

 

Can you imagine a scimitar weapon with grand, arcing slashes that flow like water? A longsword where you aren't confined to the rigid tenno combat style? It'd be a lot of work, but interesting.

Rapier would be single-target thrusting, and spears/lances for multihit thrusting.

 

I'd get those weapons in a heartbeat if they existed.

And aren't Grineer-made.
