Defying The Laws Of Gravity!

I absolutely adore Vauban, he's a great frame and one of the most unique and inspired of all of the frames simply due to the fact that he throws his abilities. But c'mon now DE you have to fix Vortex. The fact that after a Vortex is cast it simply turns off gravity in the area around the grenade doesn't only not make any bleedin' sense but it's also ridiculously annoying.

Vortex is a miniature black hole, I.E it is a point of extremely high mass condensed into a point of extremely low volume. Due to this all objects near are drawn towards it by their center of mass, which for a Warframe is somewhere in their stomach not their feet.

Considering that Vortex does have a limited range and doesn't effect the entire level [rightly so] we can deduce that the gravitational field strength of the Vortex is not as strong as that of the Ship/Asteroid/Outpost that the Vortex is placed in/on. This means that the Vortex would not have enough strength to lift an object with mass similar to that of a Tenno off of the ground and would only be able to, at best, slow their descent when jumping.

What happens at the moment is that any player daring to venture too close to a Vortex will be dragged towards it by their feet, which is not a humanoids center of mass, and continue to float passed  the Vortex on what ever trajectory they where on prior to leaving the ground. This does not make sense and it really mucks up gameplay for both the Vauban who placed the Vortex and all his poor unsuspecting team-mates.

Here's a handy image I drew in Paint

So you want to take out one of the funnest things in Warframe, just to make a MAGIC SPACE NINJA SCI-FI GAME more realistic?... (And in the annoyingly precise way, not the immersive way.)

Personally I don't think Vortex's jenky physics are fun, to the extent that I don't like using it near team-mates because I know if i was them it'd annoy me.

And who said anything about making it more realistic? There is no way you could store a black hole inside a grenade and even if you could; once released it would consume everything, not just conveniently labeled enemies. I don't want this to be Modern Warframe but just as you said it's a Sci-Fi game... The best of the Sci-Fi genre, whether it be books films or games, are those which use the Science part of it.
