Why does Pandero need a nerf when it only really compares to Lex prime? It's still under akstiletto primes in terms of DPS and its far less popular. Please leave my baby alone. Just up the MR requirement to MR10 or something and it'll be absolutely fine. it's a completely unnecessary nerf which is sad because there are a lot of people who like Pandero.

It doesn't need a nerf, I honestly don't get it.

A lot of excellent changes in this list, I'm really happy to see a lot of older or unloved weapons get some good buffs. However, as someone who loves the pandero, I'm not really happy with those changes. If you could leave the crit chance the same at 30% but keep the other changes, I'd be happy.

As a Latron lover I welcome your general plans DE.

finally Latron Prime and other ARs will take their cuts, Bows will be more agile. I eagerly waited this time.

I feel frustrated because I can't express my feelings with my poor English.

 

I agree with your balanding directions - make us to use unused guns -

BUT I wonder why Soma Prime takes no buff at all?

In my experience, the Soma Prime is weaker than Tenora and Zenith in high tier-ed missions even now,

because Soma Prime has only 10% proc and low base damage, have 200/800 ammo pool - was the biggest, now mediocre -

and the gap between other decent ARs and Soma Prime will be wider, according to your post.

 

Strun Wraith is strong enough now, good ammo efficiency, and will get another buff.

Vulkar Wraith and Vectis Prime, are enough to use, will get another buff.

Gorgon series, Tetra series, Supra series will be a decent AR, then why not Soma Prime?

even the others have fair Riven dispositions - 2.5 to 4 - but Soma Riven has the lowest disposition of all weapons.

This is literally unfair I think. I believe you missed out some of your patch notes.

(actually the Riven disposition is very unfair, because DE gifts tons of Soma Primes to new players,

so its disposition remain ridiculously low. this isn't because Soma Prime has supreme firepower.

there's too much stocks of Soma Prime like AK-74. so many freshmen are just throw away Soma Prime

when they get some experience and used to Warframe enough.)

 

I do want that I can use Gorgon, Tetra, Supra, and Soma equally in missions,

not to throw away Soma Prime and instead use Supra Vandal and Bolter Prime.

A small buff to base damage and proc would be enough to be in line with other ARs.

I do know that rifles won't have a banalce pass like this again in the years ahead.

if you willing to devote some love to Soma Prime, MR should be much higher and no one will make protest about it.

So please reconsider about Soma Prime.

General impressions:

+ Buffing low rank weapons makes the game more approachable to new players.

++ Overall buffs to a lot of weapons.

- Lots of weaker weapons getting nothing or very underwhelming buffs. IE; The Convectrix is such a cool weapon and deserves better than this.

? Multiple shifts up in required rank with few shifts down for some weapons reduces pool of weapons that players can use to go up in mastery rank. Most likely a non-problem but still something to think about.

??? Buffing already highly viable weapons, while minor in some cases, seems overkill. IE: Baza, Tenora, Prisma Grakata, Ferrox, etc. ???

I'm guessing someone at DE doesn't like the Pandero for whatever reason, seeing as it's being nerfed so much. Currently, it competes nicely with great secondaries, with that nerf, it's going to be MR Fodder at best. I find it somewhat amusing that they're buffing the Lato Prime again though, I'm guessing rubbing salt in the wound wasn't enough. Why not just make it require MR30 and make it godlike, its MR Req wouldn't matter anyway, since anyone that "has it already" will not lose the ability to use it.

I think you're making a mistake here with "raw damage" weapons like the Supra.

It was fine they did raw damage, rather than have crit/status. It's not every weapon, sure, but a few weapons which focus purely on raw damage is fine and should be preserved. (Not everything CAN be crit, for instance you can't crit on your own antimatter drops...)

 

edit - Also I feel it does feel that it engages in a bit pg  "genericide" of special characteristics of some weapons - for instance, the Sobek's looong reload gave it tactical limits which could be compensated for in other ways (notably, the very powerful acid shells mod!)

Same for i.e. Seer Zoom. Dual Tox frenzy (2s? Really? Too short!).

Also I question amo reductions for castanas, angstrum (especially since the aimed fire consumes many rockets!), kulstar, talons) - you seem to be forcing only carrier usage.You can leave the damage lower, tbh, especially for weapons limited to 5 deployed shots anyway!

As for bows - I think it'll make them all feel like the Rakta Cernos, which to me is a "light" bow. Not convinced that's a good thing, as it feels considerably different to other bows with their guaranteed crits. I would perhaps instead boost other bows crit multiples.

speaking of the Detron series can we have its old bullet physics back? i remember it having a unique way of firing that set it apart from every other shotgun pistol-in that it had a short max range for its bullets but no damage dropoff. gave the weapon a different feeling than the others... if that makes any sense.

(meant to keep this in the list but forgot so im putting it here instead of restarting)

the wep is powerful as is, you dont need to touch its projectile gravity.

and as a overall complaint id like to say that with this many weapons getting thrown into the whole mastery locked thing, i'm concerned for low MR not having a good selection of decent weapons to choose from. like vasto-locked until MR4, Magnus-locked until MR 10, Tiberon-Locked until MR 10, etc. even more some of the MR lockss dont make sense like the Twin Gremlins, Viper, Twin Viper, 

just thought of this but-does this game really need more crit-based weapons? i know these changes dont have a release date but i think it would be a good idea to wait for the feedback from Damage Procs 2.0 before DE jumps into this.

 

these are my opinions on the things i take a bit of issue with.

it is also late for me so some of this may come out as nonsensical ramblings.

But seriously wraith/vandal/dex weapons should be a sidegrade to their prime variants, why would you make the latron prime better than the wraith in every regard?

Argon+2 60/60 for Gas+Vile Acceleration is my current build (same basics as in your link), but yeah, I'm stoked for these changes. Might actually be reasonable to use it without Vile Acceleration. Gotta give it a whirl with a Lasting Covenant Harrow.

Why?

Well, we are revisiting all weapons and adjusting their stats to fit into some Mastery Rank grouping guidelines based on DPS and Crit/Status split total.

Some general notes:

  • Some weapon crafting costs will be revisited, and PoE resources will be used if it makes sense to better integrate a mix of resources into the game.
  • Not noted here are BEAM weapons - they should be ready soon, but we are revisiting them to be more 'like they used to be' in terms of damage instances over time but with a fixed fire rate. Fire Rate mods and their effects are still being determined.
  • Conclave Weapon damage has not yet been touched - will be done once all changes are set!
  • We calculate DPS based on sustained DPS which also takes Critical and Status values into account so our values may be different than yours!
  • For those of you in the Riven Market, please be aware these stats will not affect Riven dispositions. Player popularity / usage stats will continue to be the metric for that.


So what are these Mastery Rank grouping guidelines?

We sketched out Mastery Rank groupings of 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 and 13-15 for each weapon type with a minimum DPS and amount split between crit and status for each group. Using existing stats, weapons were sorted into the groups. If their stats were too high for their current MR it was raised along with any other properties to match.
 

Example: Tiberon

Its damage places it in MR 10-12 but its crit and stat split is way too low. MR is increased along with status and critical chance to match its new MR. Increasing status and critical boosts its damage so it's reduced down to fit back into the MR group guidelines its original stats dictated

 

The end result is the high performing/popular weapons stats remain untouched outside of being placed into their intended MR group and the rest of the weapons are brought up to equivalency.

 

Additional Notes

  • Projectile based and low fire rate weapons were given more crit and status allowance when appropriate.
  • Some outliers exist that either don’t meet or exceed their Mastery Rank's allotted DPS and Crit/Status split allowance because of additional properties and/or features.

    Examples:

  • Grakata - exceeds Crit/Status split but is extremely inaccurate
  • Strun Wraith - DPS is lower than its Mastery Rank group but it has forced stagger on hit and high status chance
  • Free weapons like the Dex series have been given Mastery Rank values to match their stats! We know these are grandfathered in inventory regardless of Mastery Rank, it's just for consistency!

EDIT: If you're a player who doesn't meet the new MR requirements for their favourite piece of equipment, don't fret! If you already own the weapon, you will be able to use it regardless of the higher MR requirement. These MR tweaks will only affect Tenno who newly acquire the weapons listed after these changes make it in-game.

Also, removed a duplicate Lex Prime entry. Its new MR is 8, not 14 as incorrectly listed.

Don't change nothing leave it as it is, well there is a little painful nerfs but there is very powerful buffs so keep it like this don't change nothing
