Boss Battle Once A Day, Guaranteed Rare Drop Vs Boss Battle Always Possible, But Rng

That's something I've been asking myself for a while now - what is better: to only be allowed to fight a boss once per day, but with a guaranteed rare drop (looking at Control Modules), or to be able to always fight a boss, but with RNG determining the drop?

What do you all think?

This is not a suggestion thread, I just want to know your opinions on this particular matter.

1. Attempt boss

- Fail

- Wait til' the next day to try again

- Fail

- Realize it's been 2 days and you haven't found out how to kill this thing

2. Attempt boss

- Fail

- Try again

- Fail

- Learn

- Repeat

- Success

From a new player standpoint.. all unlocked missions should be accessible at all times.

What if failure to kill the boss will allowing for repeat. However once killed, the boss can't be killed again.

Tested a few weeks ago what the drop rate was for control modules and other rare resources. I got rare resources from bosses roughly 40% of the time. 40% chance to get one from a boss that takes you 3-4 minutes to kill or once a day with 100% chance? hmm... no thanks terrible idea.

Yesterday I was farming for Trinity parts and one ended up dropping behind a pipe and there was no way to get to it, so no this shouldn't be considered at all unless they are going to change loot exploding like fireworks out of kills and even then I'm not sure I am a fan of this.

No. No timers on bosses please.

Use a token system if DE needs to prevent excessive trolling by the RNG gods, but NO lock out timers.

why is locking the bosses in any way at all even being discussed? dont give them bad ideas! (i dont think DE would do this..... but still!!)

nope, please not, this is not some MMORPG with instances and entries per time.

I have a specialized setup if I need to take down bosses for be it mats or BPs (but I got all WF now, so..).

If needed, I can dedicate some hours just killing bosses a lot of times, resulting in profit for me.

Why should I vote for that system which clearly restricts me? The need for Mats or BPs won't be lowered at all.

I like the daily/weekly mission idea. DE you should take this out of this thread, but ignore the rest of the none-sense

I'm glad you like it -.^

To tell the truth a lot of games have such a system , this is nothing new, but still is enjoyed by players :)

Meh, if the RNG is not in your favor and your main goal is to get boss drops... its faster to just Abort the mission if you didnt get what you want. Or let yourself be killed because i think if you die you still keep some things rather than nothing if you aborted.
