Weapon Changes Feedback Megathread! 

We have revisited all weapons and adjusted their stats in Update 22.12.0 to fit into some Mastery Rank grouping guidelines based on DPS and Crit/Status split total. With this in mind, we buffed a lot of the weapons you know and love! We will be using this thread to house all of your feedback on the changes. Where is the daikyu crit chance?? DE why did u remove that? the slower charge rate deserves a more reliable damage output.
 

Also please put the javlok camera shake back! i absolutely loved it! it makes the javlok feel so awesome to use, and was one of the reason why i still prefer javlok over the other staff guns

This is an old bug but now that these weapons received a buff, it is relevant to fix. Any weapon with innate multishot that fires projectiles do not get the full status they should get from status mods. 

Here are some examples:

It's most noticeable on the Zarr, as you see the amount of status it should get on the primary fire while the alt fire doesn't get the full status. And it isn't a UI issue, since Detron still cannot hit 100% status with 4 Dual Stats even with its 32% base status.

It's something that kind of flew under the radar for the longest time since we never really had a 100% status projectile innate ms weapon to be broken by the bug, though it was seen by putting a dual stat on any of them. Doesn't happen with any innate multishot weapon that's hitscan either, Pyrana with a dual stat goes from 10% status to 16%.

Would really appreciate a fix, thank you for your hard work.

This is the status chance for per-pellet status on a hitscan shotgun. The placement of the mod bonus is what enables 100% status builds:

 

> 1 - {[ 1- (base_chance * 1 + mod_bonus)]^(1/number_of_pellets)} = chance_per_pellet

Projectile shotgun calculations place the mod bonus LAST, making status scale linearly (giving them really meh status):

> {1 - [ 1- base_chance ]^1/number_of_pellets} * mod_bonus = chance_per_pellet

Is this intentional? It makes the Mara Detron's 32% status MUCH WORSE than the Twin Rogga's 32% status: the first has only a 18% chance for each of 7 pellets, the second has 100% chance for each of 15 pellets.

really DE, i got excited with the cernos prime change where you gave it a toggle, was disappointed to know that it was just between a horizontal and vertical spread. you could've just made it  a toggle between a single shot and a spread shot, that would've made it much better imo

Zhuge crit chance was dropped by 10%, despite this change not being listed.

Scourge had 60 base damage, not 30. So if it was boosted to 70, this is not nearly the buff you think it is.

It seems like the Twin Grakatas recieved the stat changes that were intended for the base Grakata. The status on TG also got increased by 1%, while the base Grakata hasn't changed at all.

Not complaining about that crit multiplier though. :satisfied:

Latron Prime seems viable now. constant crit makes it more stable. cool. but still not a strong gun as it was.

(It's a tragedy that Latron Wraith is now a cheaper version of prime though)

 

Boltor Prime and Supra Vandal, I don't understand why you changed their concept as a status-biased weapon

(it's much different from your original remarks)

but it is very satisfying. though Boltor have no innate bleed effect, we could expect more in ongoing damage 2.5.

Supra Vandal is a real bullet monster now. an allrounder. now it doesn't even need an Entropy Burst mod.

 

Prisma Gorgon is waaaaaay stronger than I thought.

compared to Soma Prime, it has downsides of 2.3x crit damage multiplier and slightly smaller clip size.

now it spools faster than it was, has okay accuracy and recoil, better proc, almost 2x base damage. 

 

Prisma Tetra is, well, frankly I cannot say this is enough but apparently it is not a mere mastery fodder.

needs some more base stat change I think.

 

Buzlok shows amazing performance. but it seems that projectile speed buff don't work correctly, especially with its beacon attached.

 

Soma Prime, got no change (seems like indirectly nerfed depends on how you see it) isn't satisfying at all.

Come on, at least make it true to its Prime name. it's Prime anyway.

only +2 base damage and +5% proc is desirable. raise its MR req to 10 or something in exchange, to balance its buff.

The difference between Normal version and Primed one is 2.5% of proc - this is unfair.

Soma series have good accuracy and fast spool as their strong point, but now other LMG-like guns got buffed, both accuracy and spool rate.

And you even buffed good weapons like Vectis Prime and Strun Wraith AGAIN.

you really think Soma Prime has better output than those guns?

 

Secura Penta losts some damage but eventually got a fair amount of crit and proc. just needs some projectile speed buff, other things are cool.

 

Ogris charge buff was very successful, it's literally fun!

 

I'm (generally) happy about this change - except Soma Prime and Zenith (could you please unlimit the altfire mode?)

It had better done if you noticed about some different changes from your dev work post. thanks anyway.

Glad to see the Quartakk go back to it's former self with the status issue fixed, initial changes beyond the burst change were unnecessary, it feels great now, feels powerful as it should and even Kuva flood high level enemies are happy to jump away, dead with a single shot.

Grinlok seems to be performing great, that was rather surprising, however the sound of the weapon lacks a bitof Oomph, it sounds weak and sometimes it feels like the gun didn't fire at all.

Scourge had it's Max ammo nerfed which wasn't listed, 100 max ammo is quite low for a low damage full auto gun, at least make it 200.

Fusilai max ammo nerf is something I can't get behind, there's no reason to nerf a regular thrown weapon, even less considering how inaccurate it is.

Zenith could've used it's semi auto mode ammo consumption lowered, it's too high and it greatly limits the gun (which the way the semi auto mode works already makes it feel weird).

Twin Gremlins feel good to use now, a whole lot less slugish, still haven't got the change to test against high level content but beyond that it seemed to be in a decent place now.

Prisma Gorgon is quite good now which is great!

Buzlok still could use a slightly higher flight speed.

AkMagnus changes feel... Well, the stats posted here and in the workshop were wrong, stats like the crit change were higher than stated, so the nerf to those was harsher than it looks in the threads.

The lack of Mutalist Quanta changes was saddening. D;
