Riven Mod Unable To Compleate Task In Plains

Trying to complete riven task in the plains (kill three airborne Condrocs with in 5 seconds with out dying or becoming downed) I have tried this in arch wing and on ground and can not get it to even register a single kill?

 

Just an update/ I was ABLE to complete this just now 18:30 on 2-10-18 I was in my arch wing and the Condrocs were flying in the sky in a group of four killed them and completed the task. 

Either its was fixed or I was just messing it up some how.

Yep, same thing. Riven progress stays at 0/3 regardless of what I do. Kind of killing the hype after my first riven reroll after my first Hydrolyst kill.

Similar problem - got a melee riven with "Kill 16 enemies on a dropship while sliding" but cant get any bit of progress

You need to find Condrocs on the ground and startle them, if you kill those it registers.

Ah. Yep, just tested with my riven. You need to kill a condroc within 5 seconds of it taking off 3 times, not kill 3 within 5 seconds. DE really should reconsider the wording on this riven challenge because the way it is now is very ambiguous and misleading.

I have a good one!  "Destroy 20 Dargns using a bow while undetected."  The problem?  It is on a Shotgun Riven mod.  And before you ask.  No, Ivara's artemis bow doesn't work for this challenge.    And remember it has to be a primary shotgun weapon.  You can't put this on a secondary shotgun.

Acutally it does work... but like with the Condrocs version it has to be on flying Dargns. Not parked ones.  So I have to do an probe escort bounty to spawn them without losing my unalearted state.

The base on the far left (When you leave Cetus) next to the sea.  There is always a horde of the birds flying around there.

They have to be landed birds and then for the riven I have to startle then kill them within 5 seconds.

Best advice then is to keep entering and exiting the plains.  Some can spawn on the large sign just outside the gate.

Mesa ult is not reliable to complete this, killing the condrocs with Limbo, Bansee and Mag abilities, in my personal experience trying this challenge today, dont work/register either.

As some people already said, already flying condrocs dont count/register either.

 

In order to complete this you have to alert standing condrocs and then kill them whithin the time frame given by the challenge.

Tips: Use Baza, its a great gun to complete this. Also I used Loki to avoid alerting nerby enemies(which can disrupt your challenge attempt). Finally a tip for looking for condrocs on the ground, arguably the most annoying thing about this challenge:

1) Re-enter the plains as many times as needed since its possible to get condrocs spawning on the areas nerby the entrance.

2) Scout for condrocs on the archwing, they have an eximus like glow that makes them easy to spot.

Hope it helps some one, and if some one from DE reads this comment, pleas update the challenge description, if this is indeed working as intended. It can be a bit missleading since the most common interpretation is to go kill flying condrocs.

I struggled real hard to unveil my melee Riven that required me to hit 3 condrocs that were airborne within 5 seconds. I had try with Frost, Limbo, Titania / Vectis, Lex, Arca Plasmor, Opticor. I thought I'd try and farm a Banshee or an Equinox during P.o.E's nighttime phase: I struggled so bad. Two days later, finally discovered my Volt Tenno collecting dust near the top of my warframe slots in the loadouts; and BAM! I Loaded it up, the first 3 i found I wasted my 4th ability upon the condrocs that took off and missed them. The second time around, once I found another 3 condrocs, I jumped into the center of them; tempted, to press the 4th ability earlier this time I waited for them to take off. Then BAM!! I hit the first ability on Volt's skillsets, and just as fast as I hit the 1st ability the condrocs fried and I knew I had accomplished the Riven requirements for an unveil! Lo' and behold, 2 or 3 seconds later, the achievement prompt procured itself where it normally did, and I felt 2 days of scramble come to a rest. 

 

So, there isn't a moral in this story, but a happy ending. USE VOLT!! His first ability will fry the condrocs in 1 zap, as long as you get 1 of them after they are all startled into flight.

there are two kinds of condrocs in codex, maybe only one kind of them can complete the quest

Been trying this all afternoon. Terrible challenge. Some times 1 or 2 registers but never 3. The birds dont startle half the time so all 3 dont take off together.

Use Ivara and castanas/talons to complete the "kill 3 airborne condrocs" challenge. What you do is find your targets, put them to sleep, latch a castana on each one (take off any multishot) and detonate when they are flapping, even if they are on the ground or still asleep.

All this trouble for a prova riven...

Hi,

The challenge is to kill all 3 before any of their remains touch the ground.
So, i took Mag, found 3 birds resting on the ground. I fire my weapons to start them flying and as soon as i saw them in the air , i spam the first ability.

3 Birds instant kill, job done.
