plznohurtme
I'm not sure what your problem is exactly. The notes say when there are multiple hosts available it will choose the one closest in mastery rank. Chances are you were the only host available to him. It would have been better for me to start by myself instead of throwing some random guy from the lobby regardless of mastery rank.
Letter13
It would have been better for me to start by myself instead of throwing some random guy from the lobby regardless of mastery rank. So it would be better for him to get thrown into your mission after you've already started? I seem to be missing something you're trying to convey. Is he harassing you? What seems to be your boggle? The Matchmaking works fine; the notes don't say that "People who are 3 Mastery ranks in difference will not be matched," it says that it "favors" hosts that are within 3 mastery ranks. He might be joining because he wants to farm Kappa, but there are no other hosts. OR, maybe, the other hosts are Mastery rank 8, or 9, or 10. If you don't want people to join, switch to Private. I want people to join, people around the same mastery as me, but not with randoms that have access to places because their friends bring them there. Edit: It's bloody painful to have mastery 0s-2s join you for a kappa run with a new frame Edited August 8, 2013 by Best_Sociopath

Not just leechers, but new players that think they can screw around.
Chris9428
I'd like an option to change 'favor' to 'only'.
Letter13
Then set the game to private and play with friends/clanmates. If your game is set to Online, and no one around your mastery level is running that mission, you're obviously gonna get paired with lowbies. It's bloody kappa though, a lot of people with similar mastery should have been running it as well. Edit: They should increase the distance of Eris, Sedna, and Europa from Mercury so it's more grindy of a game. If you "must" run Kappa (Kiste, Ceres is better, by the way, almost never any lowbies there), lure some enemies to the Lowbie, have them down him. Clear the enemies, and then just stand over him and let his life bar run out. Also don't rush to the objective and do it. Antagonize him in this fashion until he learns his lesson. If he leaves, and then 'rejoins' your game because no other hosts are on, keep on doing this to him until he goes off somewhere else. You're welcome. Nope, nothing wrong there. As the patch notes say it favours host within 3 mastery levels, if there are no suitable candidates in that range it will take anyone. Keltik0ne
Theres a dedicated forum for this sort of thing. The new matchmaking system is rubbish though, as I've ended up running Xini with rank 1 and 2 players at rank 11, while knowing theres a rank 9 in the queue for the same map.
