Baatar
Greeting Tenno's, i have a question, i don't know if this has already been discussed in another topic, but im urged to know the answer. The thing is, that i have my account of warframe linked to Steam, and i do not own a credit card anymore, so i want to transfer or unlink the account from Steam, because the non-Steam way of playing Warframe gives you more paying methods and are more convenients for me at the moment. Is this possible? to transfer or unlink the account? Thank you community.
DetergentPod
From my personal experience with playing F2P games on steam is that you have 1 account on steam and another for the game. I use to play A.V.A on steam even though I have an account for the games main website. When I launch it from steam it would link with the account I have on the games main website. How did you start to play Warframe? Did you just download it from steam and launch it there and didn't have to register on the main Warframe site or anything? I think so, i can't really remember right now, but i downloaded it from steam and created the account from steam.
Ventias
just download the client from the warframe site. After the download, just run it and log in with your (warframe) account at the log in screen.

DetergentPod
If you created the account from steam then that is your Warframe account and you can login using that to buy plat without steam.

The thing is mr. ThePieBoy, that even if loggin here, at the webpage, for example, the only method to pay for plat, is Steam, wich involves only Credit cards. get it?, i want to that to dissapear, just to unlink it from steam. Letter13
If you made your account through Steam, then the Steam Wallet is the only way you can purchase platinum. There is no way to un-link your account. Sorry OP but you're SOL.

DetergentPod
Well I guess you have no choice but to make a new account or ask the DE if they can transfer your account over to a new account.
Letter13
Well I guess you have no choice but to make a new account or ask the DE if they can transfer your account over to a new account. This is pretty much your only option. While DE is great about helping community members, I haven't heard of any cases where they transfer over items, affinity, bought platinum, et cetera. They might if you ask them to delete your old account, who knows.

I would rather not... i mean, it's not something of life or death, but yeah... sucks.
darkkterror
I don't know if they're available in your area, but there are Steam gift cards that can be purchased from retail stores and used to load up your Steam Wallet, which would then allow you to purchase platinum and founder's packs for Warframe. My understanding is that they aren't yet available everywhere, however.

Oh i totally forgot that, you're absolutely right, i will definetly try that, i have to search for it though, haven't seen any of those in local stores where i live (Chile, SouthAmerica), thanks for the feedback guys :)

I highly suggest getting a bank account with a debit card though. No reason not to get a free checking account.
