Fix For Performance Issues

TURN OFF BORDERLESS FULLSCREEN AND MAKE IT REGULAR FULLSCREEN.

Seriously

I just tested this out and it fixes every performance issue related thing I had on this gaming PC. No stuttering anymore, no more random slow downs. I normally play borderless windowed because alt-tabbing goes so much easier. But I kept having these ridiculous stupid performance on a high end gaming PC.

So when I recalled: "Windowed mode often slows performance of other games." Wait... borderless fullscreen might look like fullscreen but is still windowed mode --> Changed to fullscreen and now able to run the game on maxed out settings without even a single bit of stuttering or slow downs.

Oh wow. I feel so stupid now for forgetting the fact that windowed mode makes the game not take full advantage of your hardware...

Yep, windowed mode always will cause performance drops, since your computer needs to process also whole desktop, taskbar, etc. even if you don't see it (borderless fullscreen).
I thought, that that was well-known fact, but yes - it'll solve your issues.

I only get a performance drop below vsync 60fps occasionally but when I do, it's the same for both borderless fullscreen and regular old fullscreen :/
Maybe it depends on what is making you have performance issues, be it cpu or gpu, or some other factor. Pretty sure mines down to having a lame cpu.

Well, it's not a panacea for all performance issues. I mean you could still suffer performance issues regardless of what screen mode you're running the game in.

Borderless Fullscreen is a bit more tasking, but sometimes for game capture/streaming software, you have to run it in Borderless Fullscreen.

This is incorrect. A game running in a window will take full advantage of your hardware; however your hardware will also render other background windows as well. The word you're looking for is "exclusive" in that it excludes other applications from utilizing your GPU while the game is in the front.
