LobsterMagician
Viron is a warframe that manipulates abilities of microorganisms to benefit his allies and kill foes with destructive pathogens. I feel like this idea is something very new and different, and that it has potential. Abilities: 1. Interferon- releases alpha and beta proteins to dissolve enemy armor and damage enemies that dont have armor. This is based on the concept of cells releasing cytokines when attacked to destroy the protective walls of foreign cells such as bacteria. 2. Biofilm- secretes a biofilm around the warframe that contians many embedded festering diseases which are released in doses appropriate to how much damage is taken until the ability integrity runs out. (this is not armor granting or damage mitigation, but more like a typical thorns ability-reflecting damage) 3. Cellular Bilayer- the warframe deploys a cytoplasmic barrier (dome shaped like Frost's snowglobe). This dome encapsulates friendlies, shielding them from damage. At the same time, enemies who enter the "cell wall" will also be encapsulated, excpet the vesicles surrounding enemies will slowly DIGEST them. Duration and amount of damage mitigated is not decided. 4. Lysogeny- a virus is released upon the targeted enemy, who becomes the host. The virus inoculates the grineer soldier lets say, and causes a quick, massive DoT. Upon death, the replicated viruses inside our grineer firend start to run out of room and burst out of him (yay for gruesomness!) and spread to other targets in the room, becoming an AoE at this point. The little viruses would quickly spread to all enemies in X raidus and kill them the same way, and continue exponentially replicating and killing their grineer hosts. This should be controlled by a timer or raidus, otherewise they will just continue infecting the whole map! Again, this idea is fresh and new, and in my opinion quite a valid manner of dealing damage. In the study of microbiology you will find that even on a cellular level, there is a vast majority of chemical weapons being uleahsed to kill other life. Just as one cell systematically sabotages and destroys enemy cells, it would happen here on a macroscopic level with a warframe! Thanks for reading, and please let me know what you think. And if you are going to bash it, please pair your statement with a solution of what you would do instead. Give reasons. misoru2012
Very similar to Saryn, in terms of theme. The skill mechanics sounds cool, though.
ProjectKaeon
As misoru2012 said very similar to Saryn but very cool mechanics, Maybe they can take your ideas and revision saryn.
Konnivar
This warframe concept may be Similar to Saryn, but I could see it working as its own warframe. I see saryn's abilities based more on Toxins and the like than on cellular/viral attacks. Very cool concept and skill ideas, +1.
Aspari
I do see similarities with Saryn but they are few. Saryn is more like a snake. Viron is more like an virus. Viron could work as its own frame. +
JamesMcJam
I WANT THIS SOOOOO BAD, however, as basically everybody has said, Saryn already has a bit of this theme going on, so what if, additional powers were released for every frame? Saryn could have these as optional powers. I REAAALLY want something like this in the game!
Konnivar
as basically everybody has said, Saryn already has a bit of this theme going on I don't get why everyone keeps equating this to saryn. Saryn is more about poison/toxins/snakelike. Viron would be viable as his own frame as his abilities are themed around disease, not necessarily the toxins involved in said diseases. I can see how people could confuse disease and Toxin though as some micro-organisms are deadly because they produce toxins.
LobsterMagician
I WANT THIS SOOOOO BAD, however, as basically everybody has said, Saryn already has a bit of this theme going on, so what if, additional powers were released for every frame? Saryn could have these as optional powers. I REAAALLY want something like this in the game! The number 4 ability is the only one that is somewhat close. But then again, many warframes share similar abilities. Also, the power everyone is referring to is Venom, her spores. Thats it, everything else is totally different. And besides, the virus is superior to the spores since they work on their own (dont have to shoot them). The other abilities I have mentioned are unique, nothing at all like hers. I would hate to see Saryn inherit abilities that have nothing to do with poison! These abilities are for a totally new frame. No warframe currently has abilities anything remotely close to what i have proposed.
LobsterMagician
I disagree. Saryn actually has NONE of these themes going on.
Enguzrad
Saryn's first ability - VenomSARYN tags the target with a highly toxic spore that does poison damage over time. Destroying the spore will trigger a viral infection to nearby enemies.Viron's 4th ability has viral infection too.Still, it is nice ability.
