Voice from external speakers and gunfire from laptop speakers

My audio is coming from two sources when on a mission. The voice is coming from my external speakers that are plugged into my laptop and the gun sounds are coming from the laptop speakers, which are not supposed to work when I use external speakers. The gunfire sound is also much louder than the voice and  may damage my laptop speakers. As such, I can't play the game until this is resolved.n I am going to try optimizing the install and see if that helps.

Optimizing the install did not fix the issue.

Sounds like this is an issue with your audio driver and/or your laptop configuration.  One other thing to check is which Default Device is being used in the Audio Options menu.

I did all that and tried everything I could think of. It only happens in Warframe and not in any of the other online games I play. It only started happening  with the update that was made just before my original post. I am Cisco and Microsoft certified and have worked as a network security specialist. I know my way around a computer. I can't fix thid=s and it makes the game totally unplayable.

 

To be clear, all the sound comes through my external speakers except for the gunfire, which comes out of my laptop speakers and is 10 times as loud as the other sound. It is loud enough to damage my laptop speakers if i let it continue. I am convinced that this is a bug and I would appreciate some input from someone at warframe who handles this sort of stuff. I am willing to send you what ever configuration data you might want.
