Idle Animations: Options

Some people like new idle animations, some dont. If we are going to make suggestions how idle animations should look then we will be running in circles. Why? It's just a matter of taste. Everyone has his own vision of his favourite warframe.

So maybe DE should give players a little bit more freedom?

Please give us ability to choose from variety of idle animations that we have right now (I'm sure that rhino could easily take a stance like loki or frost) or/and give us ability to disable/enable new idle animations. For example I really like Volt but now It's pain for me to play as him because I dont like his idle animation but I'm ok with his old stance or I would love to see him in frosts stance.

How can you do this? Just make idle animations like helmets and place them in same menu.

Thanks for time that you have spent reading my wall of text - Khornelius

Uh, why do idle animations matter? I like them too (Check out Samus' idle animations in the original Metroid Prime, for example), but they're a rather cosmetic feature, and honestly I'd prefer attention be paid to other parts of the game (such as improving stealth).

Considering how often one sees a warframe while playing the game (i.e. just about the whole time), I think it's pretty important that players are happy with the look and feel of a warframe.

And it's not as if working on cosmetic stuff like this means development stops elsewhere. There's different people working on different things, or at least that's the idea.

More on point: I agree, we should have options. I don't use Volt much but I think I'd like to use his Action Hero pose :D

Yes. AN animation pack would solve everything. Just let us equip the animations we want. Hell. Most of us would probably even pay for it. 15 plat per animation? Okay. I don't care. But I also don't want my Rhino looking like a saddle sore cowboy. FIX IT.

I would pay for idle stances for my warframe too. It's a great work from DE side and I love it, but we need to have a little bit more freedom on that (what animations I want to use with my warframe and what dont) and besides that I think that it would be much easier to give players options  than remaking/redoing animations untill everyone will like them.

I think there are some days you're just going to have to live with the fact that not everything has to lie within your comfort zone. But give it a couple weeks and see if you still feel that way rather than such a sudden kneejerk.

I know I felt the same about color energy, but now I like it.

I whole-heartedly agree with the idea of giving us a choice in what kind of idle pose we can have. I realize it's kind of a small thing in the grand scheme, but it really annoys me to no end how Nova holds dual pistols and the idle in the dojo.

Maybe not an option, but every Warframe could start in their normal pre-9.5 stance and after a few seconds of being idle, the Warframe could switch to its "unique" stance.  That way, if you want to see your unique stance, just stay still for a couple of seconds. If you don't, just keep moving.

I love that Idea hope it comes as options too.
