Arcane Manager Changes:
As mentioned in yesterday's Hotfix, we have made some changes to the Arcane Manager screen to alleviate confusion when Upgrading. We will continue to monitor this for further necessary changes!

  • When Upgrading an Arcane, you can now specify to what level you want to Upgrade it to.
  • When Upgrading an Arcane, you can now do multiple Ranks in a single operation.
  • The ‘NEXT RANK’ button will appear grayed out if you do not have the required amount of Arcanes to proceed to the next rank.
  • Changed the Arcane Rank indicators to be Arcane icons instead of numbers.

Fixes:

  • Fixed a crash that occurred when returning to Cetus after acquiring an Arcane.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when in the Dojo or a Relay.
  • Fixed being able to equip a single Magus into both Arcane slots on your Operator. You must own more than one copy of the Magus in order to do so.
  • Fixed Atlas only getting 50 Rubble from Petrified enemies when it should be 75.
  • Fixed a case where you could equip 3 Arcanes on your Warframe.
  • Fixed Beam weapons not doing damage if you ran Warframe at roughly 10 FPS or less.
  • Fixed Beam weapons not being able to damage enemies affected by a crowd controlled Warframe ability for Clients.
  • Fixed the UI locking up when equipping an Exodia on a Zaw.
  • Fixed the UI locking up when Upgrading your Warframe and then changing your currently equipped Arcane to "none".
  • Fixed Boltor Bravura Skin spawning multiple clips during the reload animation. (not clips, magazines, there is a huge difference)
  • Fixed Clients seeing incorrectly sized Pets when transitioning from Cetus to the Plains.
  • Fixed commas removing placed text in Captura.
  • Fixed ability to escape below the level in the Grineer Shipyards Spy tileset.
  • Fixed Moa’s getting stuck in Corpus Outpost doorways as reported here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/80hdmt/bug_this_door_on_a_corpus_survival_on_venus_is/

I've not experienced what you're talking about here. If it is disorienting as you say, why do they click anyways?

"Other mods" being the keyword here. If you could max out a copy of Arcane Guardian with a bunch of Arcane Tempos then I'm sure there wouldn't be as much outcry. But since the relative upgrade cost is so much higher, it's reasonable that one deserves an undo option even when the other one doesn't.

I would take that as an option too.  I'm gonna end up with a looooot of Arcane Tempos eventually.

Some of us made the mistake in ranking up, because we found the system a bit confusing. So a downgrade, or a reversal would be nice.

The ability to downgrade arcanes is really needed. Please don't overlook this.

 

Also, trade taxes on arcanes, particularly the legendary, makes no sense. A single energize for example has the same trade tax as a fully upgraded energize. Someone who's trying to get some plat for their one lowly arcane they got lucky with is having a harder time selling and being told "get lost until you get a full set" due to people not wanting to spend 10 million credits buying each one individually.

 

Legendary arcanes should have a 100k trade tax for a single arcane, 300k for upgraded once, 600k for upgraded twice, and 1 mil for fully upgraded. Other lesser arcanes could follow suit but lets be honest here, nobody is buying the common arcane sets so those are whatever.

My understanding is that you can only upgrade an arcane with an arcane of the same type. There's no arcane capacity like with mods, which can't be distilled by the way. We now get arcanes from Eidolons instead of Trials and the hunting is probably easier. Though that might be a bit early for me to say since hunting the other Eidolon types beyond Teralyst is still new enough that people need to get a handle on things. Still, Eidolon Hunters do have the shards and cores to incentivize them in addition to the Arcane drops.
