Volt's Speed Buff And Fov Change

I understand when Volt using his Speed, the FOV increased is a feature to let players feel the speed boost. It is like motion blur happens when the camera is moving.

 

But I am one of those guy who hates the FOV change and find it VERY annoying. It was the main reason that kept me from playing Volt after it reached lv30. But ever since the speed buff become group wide, everytime if a teammate using the speed boost I would get the effect as well.

 

Is there anyway I can just turn it off? I mean we are allow to turn motion blur off under the video setting. So why isnt FOV change a option for player to decide?

I don't even understand why Speed becomes a team-buff- it's not a very useful skill at ALL! You cannot melee because Volt is too squishy, and you shouldn't rush through levels  with it because the devs express distaste in that. Really, Volt is a prime example of old dogs, new tricks. He's just useless atm.
