Warframe Level Cap Passive Skills

I was thinking that it would be nice (and an additional incentive to have your frame maxed) if at Lvl 30, your frame gained a passive skill specific to it.

Most of my ideas revolve around some of the things I think a frame should be invulnerable to due to it's elemental motif. For example:

Frost: does not slow on ice panels, and is not affected by that cryogenic(?) environmental hazard.

Ember: immune to continual burn damage and is not affected by the ground fires on the environmental hazards.

Saryn: immune to poison.

Volt: immune to electrical stuns.

I am not too sure what the other frames would get as they lack the elemental motif kinda but maybe something to compliment their existing stats? Like Rhino can have his own heavy impact.

Okay, I will admit, my main reason for bringing up this idea because I think it is stupid that the Iceman is still vulnerable to ice. Fire lord/queen can still be burnt despite that one of her skills (I think?) sets her on fire. Sure, I do know that just because you control something, doesn't make you immune, but it's Warframe.

But in order to make it slightly constructive instead of pointing out something I think is wrong, I decided to pitch this as a passive frame skill idea. Most notably at Lvl 30 so it feels like reward for your grindy efforts. I wouldn't want it to be a buff, but more so increase a frame's utility.

the problem, is it is a buff. and all you'll see is Embers in Grineer maps (to be invulnerable to bombards(maybe?) and napalms), Saryns for Infested, and Volts for Corpus. because they're invulnerable to some of the damage those factions deal.

not good for variety.

however.

i've thought quite a few powers that are 'underpowered' or subpar overall(one for each frame ideally) could be moved to an innate power, and a new power would replace it. more variety in powers and such then, frames always have a power, and needing to overhaul or buff those subpar powers would no longer be an issue, because it's innate, therefore it shouldn't be that amazing.

it might cost energy, idunno.

so if R30 on a frame gave an innate power, that would be a lot fairer than some frames just being immune to damage types. as awesome as it sounds for me to be able to bring out Saryn, and throw Torid, Acrid, and Mire on, and laugh at the toxic ancients. it just wouldn't be balanced.

also, yes, those resistance cards capping at 12% is hella crap. 33% at LEAST for those resistances, for people to even consider using them, and even then, 33% isn't that great considering you're giving up cards on your frame, which most frames have just enough space for all the useful powers, a partial or full caster set(depending on what cards are or aren't useful on a frame), and some survivability cards at the end. 12% is a waste of mod points.

I guess I didn't mean full invulnerability, just immunity to the continual damage. So a Napalm guy would still damage Ember with the initial explosion and possibly the fire damage attached to that first strike, but how you start burning up later... still seems a bit ridiculous in my opinion, especially for Ember (Overheat...). But you are right how full immunity would be game breaking.

Just an inverse opinion, at the least with frame specific "resistances" (judging by the responses, this sounds much more plausible), people would be more inclined to build other frames or to construct their 4-man squad around a mission.

But yeah... the resistant cards are not worth the points, I'd rather just put on Redirection and Vitality to make up for it. At least that helps me all-round.

That would be cool, but immunity to certain things can be useless, like freeze or lightining. You are RARELY ever hit with those, but things like poison are very common and would be very useful to avoid.

Yeah, until recently with that Arid Event or whatever it is called where the Corpus guy you need to capture can use a freeze AoE. That is why I extended it to also include environmental hazards like Cryogenic or the Ice Panels found in the void.

But other than that... are there any peons that actually use those elemental attacks? I mean, Corpus have those stun batons, but if I recall correctly, they set you on fire and just stagger you rather than stun at most.
